Wow, prequel is all filled up and it's not even august!

So I will start a new op at some point but since it's only July and things will be slower the links will portably be out of date by the time the next thread starts so I'll save that for later.

Welcome everyone to Christmas Bargain Central, a place to post and share ideas and offers .

I am officially in Christmas mode! Count me in for another year of bargains.

Yep Dd also loves watching a very annoying woman opening LOL dolls on YouTube. The lol sister dolls are £6.99 still a rip off though.

Soslowmo · 03/08/2017 22:14

My dd is too snowflake. She has her little mouse and house and is getting the play track thing for Christmas. I was thinking about getting the mum & baby turtle and wondered about the fingerlings too...

Thank you so much to the previous poster who recommended the Hawkins Bazaar sale! I've got some lovely stocking fillers and birthday gifts for DS (November birthday).

imsorryiasked · 03/08/2017 23:02

Thanks Tatty first present bought!

Annwithnoe · 04/08/2017 00:43

Hang on! Wait for me! runs to catch the bargain train and collapses panting in a seat

accidentally logged out of mumsnet and I can't get into my old email account so I've had to start again from scratch but I've been desperately trawling avidly reading these threads for the last few years.

Has anyone come across a diy advent calendar in the style of the commercial ones? So something I can fill myself but with perforated cardboard doors rather than bags/envelopes/sophisticated wooden drawers? Even a silhouette cameo file would do.

Deploycharitygoats · 04/08/2017 06:32

tootsie I found that Debenhams was the cheapest place for the Happyland pirate ship last year. It went down to £30 in the sale in early November, then used a code from the bargain thread on top of that. Got it for £24 in the end!

I'd been watching ELC for it pretty much all year and no deal got close to that bargain, tbh.

niffynoo · 04/08/2017 06:41

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good baby style doll that can go in the bath and doesn't fill up with water? My girls are obsessed with bathing their dolls but I am fed up of trying to empty them. I will need two so a bargain would be amazing but not essential. Thank you!

NoWordForFluffy · 04/08/2017 07:02

Thanks, Tatty, just ordered the Monsters University Monopoly for DD. 😁

LikeSilver · 04/08/2017 07:07

I was thrilled to find the Wader Cement Mixer toy here. I've had my eye on it for months as they have one in a local play cafe and DS is obsessed with it, he will be so happy to have one. It's usually around £60 which it isn't worth; this website have it for £39 in the sale (possibly not quite worth that either if DS didn't love it so! But a great one for any aspiring builders). £8 delivery from the Netherlands though.

WreckTangled · 04/08/2017 07:44

batman go-kart £99 not necessarily a huge bargain but for the price it has great reviews. It's not in stock everywhere but the site is really good at telling you where they have it. It's discounted because there's a newer version which is double the price.

WheresTheCoffee · 04/08/2017 07:52

Thanks for the mini helicopter link..I missed the £5 ones last year so this time round I am going to be more decisive! Grin

Reastie · 04/08/2017 08:05

Thanks tootsie

I can't remember if it was here that someone was looking for a toy pram/pushchair that wasn't pink, but Toys R Us have a silver cross one in green with £40 off down to £29.96 here

ipswichwitch · 04/08/2017 08:17

Ignore that. Clearly it's far too early for me to read properly - it's a good and apron set for a pushchair, not a toy pushchair. I did search for toys in clearance though Hmm
