Star wars crochet???

Now...if I could crochet a star wars blanket I think I would be very very popular Grin

TheWoollybacksWife · 07/06/2017 19:03

MrsD have you seen Ravelry...

HairsprayBabe · 08/06/2017 08:10

199 into the 100's we are practically there! Xmas Grin

SideOrderofSprouts · 08/06/2017 19:15

And when we get to 100 it will be around bonfire night!

OP posts:
TheWoollybacksWife · 08/06/2017 19:51

It's even sooner than that Sprout. 100 days to Christmas is mid September - six weeks after that is bonfire night and six weeks after that is the big day Xmas Grin

I'm getting into 'DD Birthday Mode' (she's the 25th so halfway to Christmas).
I've bought a Yankee Candle, some nice (££) earrings, she has a dress (her choice) and has asked for some make-up.

So, there needs to be a few surprises, all wrapped up in a gift box (I'm buying 15 things as she'll be 15yo)
Gift cards, nail stuff, fake tan +mitt, chocolates , need to scout out some more.

Good practice for me Xmas Grin

Wow, haven't been in this section for a while and bam, we're on thread two! Xmas Grin Mind you I have been looking at Christmas trees and have slippers with snowmen on them on so I'm doing something Christmassy. I hadn't been to bad missing Christmas, the year has seen to have flown by so far, but now I want it to be Christmas! My mum has a new fireplace and we were discussing how we are going to decorate it for Christmas. Want to get one of those Christmas fire guards.
Hope everyone else is happy and feeling Christmassy?
Off to catch up on the thread! Xmas Smile

SideOrderofSprouts · 09/06/2017 19:02

Ooohhhh maybe 59 days is around bonfire night? I don't know. It's all exciting though!

I bought some bargain Christmas presents today. Was shopping for Father's Day presents and treats for me and stumbled onto some lovely finds. 2 children's Christmas story books and an avengers book in the Works sale, a hat for DH in a random quirky shop and some of those snowmen things that melt over and over again for 90p so I bought 3. Haven't told DH though as he does this face --> Hmm and tells me it's too early.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/06/2017 20:30

Ahh Handbag is this this face Hmm or this one Xmas Hmm

If it's the Xmas Hmm you can let him off a bit. But only a Bit Xmas Wink

HandbagCrazy · 09/06/2017 22:31

Sadly 70 it is definitely Hmm No festive hat whatsoever. I actually pulls the face then tells me I'm a bit nuts and Christmas is ages away - but this reaction remains the same wether it's January, June or November! So I generally ignore him, or just get out all the presents in November and make him pull this face -> Xmas Shock

HandbagCrazy · 09/06/2017 22:32

And apologies for shocking spelling and grammar. I may have enjoyed a cocktail or 3 this evening 🍹

DH does The Face too, though by Guy Fawkes he'll start muttering about my lists.

Winter for him means getting the Hallowe'en decorations out, putting them away again , Guy Fawkes, DS Birthday then the full on sprint to Christmas.(More decorations to get out of the attic ) Add into the equation my annual dilema of winter proofing the guinea-pigs, .....I'm surprised DH doesn't hibernate Xmas Grin

HairsprayBabe · 10/06/2017 09:25

DP is already hooked into my mad christmassing, I got him at a young age so he knows no difference, I assume he thinks everyone dose it Xmas Grin

SideOrderofSprouts · 10/06/2017 10:49

my dh realized a few years ago that i saved us a fortune every Christmas.

OP posts:
HandbagCrazy · 10/06/2017 12:20

DH realised it makes me happy and that it saves us a fortune but he has some family related issues that come up at Christmas so it's taken until about 5 years ago for him to give in and accept that Christmas can equal nice food and fun rather than stress iyswim? Although he's starting to enjoy it more as we've got nieces and nephews who believe in Father Christmas now too.

And when I mention Christmas from July onwards he still pulls the Hmm face but finds it cute amusing.

Oh and he's somehow grateful for it all when he realises I've stashed away extra nice treats for him!

Ah well, it's grey and miserable outside so I'm settled in to watch The Family Man (the Nic Cage film that I think was recommended as a Christmas film on one of the threads). Never seen it before so fingers crossed it's very festive!

HandbagCrazy · 10/06/2017 12:47

While is remember, can anyone help with a gift idea please (not Christmas I'm afraid). DHs cousin turns 18 in July and is going travelling for 6 months almost immediately after. We're at an absolute loss for any ideas for her! She's very fashionable but not really bothered about labels. She's very sensible but has everything we thought of already. Help!

TheWoollybacksWife · 10/06/2017 13:28

Does she have a juice box? That's what my DDs call the extra power thingy that they use to charge their phones. I'll have a think about other things...

VivaJen · 10/06/2017 16:36

Shattered. Babysprouts seems to hate sleep again

OP posts:
RosieposiePuddingandPi · 11/06/2017 08:06

Sprouts sorry to hear you've not had much sleep. DS also got up in the early hours today and my back and legs have seized from sleeping on the sofa with him overnight.
To cheer myself up I'm watching Home Alone while he naps on my lap Grin

MrsDilligaf · 11/06/2017 08:06

Oh no Sprouts fingers crossed it's short lived. I have a snotty baby who snored like a trooper last night! So it was me who didn't get any sleep Hmm

SideOrderofSprouts · 11/06/2017 13:17

Thank you ladies

My dh is wonderful. I'm having some
Issues with my hashimotos at the
Moment so
I'm tired again all the time. He let me sleep 8-12 so I'm feeling more human!
