Gifts for 7yo godson

So I'm a bit late on getting a gift for my godson. Any suggestions on fun presents for a 7yo boy? Budget £10-30. He's q boyish but his mum says like arts and crafts too.

Ds is only 2 so I'm not too good on 7yos and wd love tips. Anything your done especially loved?

Lego is generally a safe bet. Our you can get various wooden things to make and paint (eg a birdhouse or model car).
Ds loves "grow your own crystals" kits.
