The Christmas Sandwich...its just THE BEST, isn't it?

This is the best bit of Christmas for me .

I'm just sitting down reclining on the sofa to a big fat Christmas sarnie. Soft white bloomer, proper butter, spiced apple chutney, turkey, ham, three types of stuffing and some sliced up pigs in blankets + a cheeky roast parsnip. And a big glass of red wine.

Aaaaah...this is the life

Gravy in the leftover sandwich? Really not convinced about cold gravy. I also don't do cold roast spuds (goose fat - divine when hot, but rank when cold).

But: granary bread (thick sliced), butter, good dollop of mayo, then turkey, ham and stuffing. lashings of pepper. Not had a sandwich today as we are having cold cuts for dinner tonight with mash etc (and leftover cauli cheese - THE BEST) but I am going for it tomorrow. And I am going to take my sandwich on a nice walk in the forest. With a chunk of Yule log gif afterwards. Cannot wait. 🐷

We all had turkey, stuffing and mayo sandwiches for breakfast. Just the best! We decided to save the smoked salmon for another day.

Boxing Day pie is the best thing ever to do with leftovers. Stuffing, turkey, creamy leeks in layers. Better than Xmas day dinner.

No. Turkey exists for pie! Perfect Xmas sandwich: Wholemeal bread, butter, smoked salmon, black pepper, squeeze of lemon.

All of you talking about the perfect Christmas sandwich and not one mention of a toastie bread buttered on the outside. Cranberry sauce, stuffing, Turkey, cheese, done in the Breville. Bliss.

We did a picky leftovers buffet after a long dog walk on the beach this afternoon, including sandwiches of turkey, stuffing, sliced pigs in blankets, real butter, cranberry sauce, mayo and salt on thick white sliced bread. Heaven!

We were at family for Christmas Day but such is my dedication to the Christmas Sandwich I cooked a small free range turkey when we got home last night and made homemade super buttery breadcrumb, herb and onion stuffing!

This morning dh drove to the shops to buy fresh white crusty bread and them made me THE best thing about christmas - buttered white bread, thinly sliced turkey (but plenty of it!), salt, stuffing and cranberry sauce sandwich. Presented to me in bed with fresh orange juice, fresh real coffee and a chunk of yule log for after. I lay in bed with one of my new christmas books - BLISS!
