We don't have a real tree Blush and have a tradition of decorating the tree on the day of sports personality of the year which is usually the second Sunday in December. That timing works out beautifully for the DDs finishing work/university this year although I'm sure there will be conflict - DD1 likes arriving at a decorated house while DD2 likes helping Confused

Gah! Apologies for the above (incorrect) post for the countdown - can someone delete it please?

Back on track now - does anyone watch Movies24 on Sky? They change the name of the channel to Christmas24 in November.......

They normally do a Christmas film week in July....hoping they do! 🎄👍🏻

NoWordForFluffy · 17/04/2017 17:42

We've only recently started to have a real tree, Woolly (2015) and I purposely bought one in a pot to get as many years' use out of it as possible!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/04/2017 20:17

I bought a potted tree about 7-8 years ago ...it looks a right scabby little soul at the moment Xmas Grin . I'm debating whether I should pot it out but years ago we lost a tree when NDN did an extension (I think the cement foundations leached something into the soil).

As there always building work going on, I don't want to risk it.

We don't bring the tree indoors (spiders Xmas Wink ) but it sits on the patio with solar lights.

I think this summer I'll repot it.

For indoors I need a new tree. We had a fake one that was basically a bit rubbish. So I'll plot and wait for The One .

NoWordForFluffy · 17/04/2017 20:36

Our tree gets vacuumed to remove all spiders! 😁

73kittycat73 · 18/04/2017 01:03

does anyone watch Movies24 on Sky?

They were showing Christmas movies on Easter Sunday this year!

lollyj84 · 18/04/2017 09:21

Oh i misses the xmas movies on easter sunday. Blooming dh and football and then dc with f1

BiddyPop · 18/04/2017 13:53

After our Easter trek around the country, I have spent half the morning today looking at my lists and starting to think about Christmas a bit more.

I've had to update my spreadsheet as there will be an extra new baby by then (yay, I'll be an Auntie again!).

But I was mostly starting to look at my housework lists, crafting lists, and trying to decide where to stay this year ( at home in our own house, or travelling on a holiday like skiing - NOT to DPs/DMILs!).

Mummysh0rtlegs · 18/04/2017 14:29

We ate turkey and christmas pudding on easter sunday. It's tradition!

blacksmiths09 · 19/04/2017 05:44

249 🎄😀

HairsprayBabe · 19/04/2017 13:08

We have a faux tree as neither of us drive! I bought mine from the range a few years ago, and it is far too big for my living room Grin

blacksmiths09 · 19/04/2017 15:38

The National Tree (an Xmas film) is on at 6.00pm tonight on Movies24+ 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄 Wahoo!

ConstantlyCooking · 19/04/2017 21:44

Biddy - the lamb was delicious and tender! Every bit was eaten (even fussy DD ate it). Thank you

blacksmiths09 · 20/04/2017 06:31

248 🎄🎄🎄🎄

BiddyPop · 20/04/2017 11:25

Constantly I'm glad you enjoyed it!

HairsprayBabe · 20/04/2017 13:17

I just bought a christmas jumper from "Joy" only £15 in the sale down from £40!

flapjackfairy · 20/04/2017 15:46

I havent been able to get on here for a few weeks so it is nice to be back. A bit like slipping on your comfy (christmas) slippers.
I am missing winter already but nearly at the 4 month mark so a third of the way there as it were.
I am genuinely so happy when we pass the summer solstice as it feels like it is downhill from there.

blacksmiths09 · 20/04/2017 18:09

I feel exactly the same flapjackfairy. I love sitting outside on the decking in the sunshine having a cold cider, but the minute we come inside I want it to be dark and cool and gloomy so all my led lights I have everywhere look resplendent. 🎄

SideOrderofSprouts · 20/04/2017 18:18

Hello everyone! Did you miss me Xmas Grin
