ConstantlyCooking · 08/04/2017 14:55

My melts burner arrived today for the cinnamon melts I bought in the sales last year. The burners were really expensive before Christmas.

MrsDilligaf · 08/04/2017 19:19

I bought the easter eggs today...

Martha sat on them.

Confused
Mummysh0rtlegs · 08/04/2017 19:23

I think I'm only doing my kids for easter, I'm going to buy them something for our holiday as they are both dairy free and have four of those from family already. We are going to do a hunt with plastic eggs with haribo in instead :)

I got a job (becoming a freelancer on monday, just part time from home around the kids) so I can start putting some money towards christmas!!

HungryHorace · 08/04/2017 20:08

Slight fail, MrsD! But yay to eating squashed eggs! 😂

I've bought little canvas baskets, some small 'egg-hunting' eggs and a chocolate rabbit lollipop for each child. And that's as far as I'm going.

We also won some eggs in the preschool raffle, which pleased DD as she'd been eyeing up the Freddo egg! They came with a bottle of cava too, so at least I'm also catered for. 😁

Yay into the 250s Xmas Grin

We used to hide the tiny yellow chicks round the garden when the DC were a bit older , they had to collect a set number per egg.

Today , I was this close *>

73kittycat73 · 09/04/2017 02:13

I've got my eggs hidden in the bedroom cupboard. Hopefully out of sight, out of mind! 😅

MrsDilligaf · 09/04/2017 08:58

I'm going to brazen it out! They are for my parents and Dsis and BIL so I shall hand them over and apologise for the fact that they may be broken.

Although to be fair to Martha if she didn't break them by sitting on them DH may have done when he gave them a shake "to check they're ok"

SideOrderofSprouts · 09/04/2017 18:33

Babychips would scoff then not sit in them 😂

I have been to Sainsbury and secured eggs and sweets for the necessary people. I got myself a large box of thornton continental. Much more chocolate for the price and they were reduced! Gabriel is getting a lovely cuddly bunny.

Mummysh0rtlegs · 09/04/2017 19:11

Xmas Grin
HairsprayBabe · 12/04/2017 08:13

I am having a dinner party with some really good friend I have only seen once since Christmas on Friday, I am really looking forwards to it and all the celebratory planning is putting me in a festive mood!

I am doing some Nigella recipes for the main, a big steak, cooked rare and cut into thin slices, walnut and lentil salad, a green salad and a breaded goats cheese slice for the veggie me Plus a big bowl of bread, maybe homemade, see how much work I want to give myself!

Warm brownies and homemade ice cream for a dessert and just nibbly bits of hummus olives etc for a starter.

Only fear is I have never cooked a steak before, the instructions look simple enough though I don't think I can get it too wrong probably

ConstantlyCooking · 12/04/2017 09:33

If we are talking food [and no reference to Biddy], can anyone give me a foolproof way of roasting lamb for Easter Sunday. I will be going to Mass so need a recipe with minimal intervention. I do have a turkey I bought after Christmas but I like the idea of 🐏.
