It's been snowing here (Bucks) for a couple of days but before you get excited the flakes are miniscule and very few and far between.

I'm going for a walk tomorrow so I'm hoping it snows softly and beautiful as I walk through the woods. (Yeah right)

It started snowing here too, doesn't seem to be settling.
As in true sods law i have a few days holiday and have come down with the most dodgy throat. Kids are looking very pleased with themselves as i can't talk.
I hope everybody inc little ones are feeling better.

We never get snow here :( we live in a coastal town and it just never seems to snow Hmm

Dd2 is doing much better now, just suffering the effects of the antibiotics now :)

Hello to all. We have also been hit by a bug this week so commiserations to anyone feeling poorly. We are all on the mend now!
Dont want to sound smug but i was up with my 2yr old at 5 am (not remotely smug about that bit ) and it was snowing quite heavily so i sat and cuddled him and watched it fall past the bay window .Lovely! though melting now!!

Still trying to snow here but failing miserably its soo flaming cold brrrrrr!
Hope all the little ones and everyone here is feeling better very soon , just eaten a box of choc brazil nuts left over from chrissy .....oh dear .... but they were just lurking and tormenting me ........have a good day everyone

I'm currently sitting in the hairdressers getting my grey sorted out then I'm going home to an EMPTY, TIDY house GrinGrin

MIL is coming for a short stay so everywhere is clean and tidy. DH and DS have gone to pick her up and DD2 is out at her theatre group and a sleepover. So I've got the place to myself until about 9pm. Bliss.

I've got something nice for lunch and dinner, a bottle of wine, my book, my knitting and lots of TV to catch up on. I'm going to have a bath and then put the fire on and relaaaaax.

In really good news DD2 has a uni offer that has thrilled her so its all looking good for her. She's had a couple of tough years health wise so I'm delighted for her.

DD1 is on a site visit in Southern Italy. We face timed her yesterday to show our snowy garden and she was in short sleeves complaining that it was getting too warm Grin

We had a light dusting of snow, it looked as though it might settle early morn, but as the day progressed it evaporated. Steady flurries for most of the morn, now back to biting cold winds and below av temps.

Snowdrops look lovely peeking out in the lanes and enhanced by the dressing of snow! First snow of the winter.

Revs up the Christmas calories!!! Just the wonder and magic of feeling some specialness and enchantment! Secretly pleased not to have to contend with the travel disruption of snow (live on top of a hill v prone to ice and impassibility).

Have not yet retired nordic home decor, and feel comforted by that and vindicated during this cold snap! Reindeers on a mug feels just right!

Hi Purple. I wouldn't worry that it's your computer, it happens to me too, and I've seen lots of double posts from other posters. You click 'POST MESSAGE' and nothing happens, so you click again and it goes through twice!

It has been a very cold windy day here today still trying to snow , I have been forced to watch the rugby which would have been fine because Greg Laidlaw the Scot Capt is rather scrummy lol but he was injured early on in the game and went off. Hubba is celebrating his birthday and I bought him a lot of pick n mix from Wilkos as it is half price at the min he never has it full price lol I am a skinflint hope all feeling ok , this month is galloping by .....

Lol @ Mrsmadevans Xmas Grin Sprouts was obviously a bit cross at the lack of snow and forgot!!

Well...the grown up Dilligafs are all set for a romantic Valentine's Day. Martha the little beast gave us her evil D & V bug and so while we've been and got ourselves a Waitrose Meal Deal for tomorrow neither of us is in the mood for food or romance to be honest

DH is so poorly he doesn't want any tea tonight. I think this may be the first meal he has missed in 30 years. I gave him such a bollocking on Saturday because I felt so ill to the point where I really couldn't look after M. I begged him to stay and look after her so I could get some rest. He now understands just how bad I felt...so of course I am being super understanding towards him!

Sorry to hear of poorly little ones, and not so little ones!
It was a bit milder here too than it has been.

I ordered the snowman and reindeer. The lids were a bit of a squeeze to put on, but once on stayed there. I ordred them on the 20th January so they took 23 days to get here.

I finally got the unicorn make up brushes today that i ordered weeks ago (saw them on bargain thread ). They are lovely!
But i never got my cat money box sadly!
