Just got last minute bits......slimming world on hold for a day.

Got new pjs for everyone, bought secret life of pets and Zootropolis to watch from tea time while we have a party tea....yumyumyum.

Then begins the battle to get the kids to bed.

LOVING Christmas this year, ds 2 has brought back the magic for us I am even smiling! Xmas Smile

So far I've made a bolognese for dinner tonight and sausagemeat stuffing for tomorrow.

Had a minor argument with dp but that's sorted now, he's popped out to the shops and to deliver a present to his aunt and uncle.

Just having a sit down briefly, got laundry to fold and put away and some more food prep for tomorrow (mainly just chopping and peeling veg and potatoes).

Relaxed day here. So far watched frost the snowman and watched the dc play with their santa playmobil set while I finished cross stitching a santa Xmas Grin

Listening to some Christmas Buble and drinking tea right now. Going to make and decorate cookies for santa soon. Then a trip out to see Christmas lights before back for a Christmas film then bed for the dc. I still need to wrap the santa presents though.....

Lots of cooking and Christmas films , I then have lots more time to spend with children tomorrow.

Had a cooked breakfast this morning then lazed around in jamas and watched Despicable Me.
Dd is upstairs doing a maths GCSE past paper and I am watching Harry Potter with H.

I'm cooking a roast dinner at 4, then we will open Christmas Eve boxes, have a bath and put on new Christmas jamas.

Then a film with the free Sky voucher...maybe Mother's Day with Julia Roberts.

This will all be punctuated with eating and drinking fizz. Lots of it.

Bed very early as I'm working at 6am tomorrow and don't want to be tired and grumpy when my Christmas Day finally starts after work Xmas Smile

Cleaning, baking, dog walking, veg prep...

We usually go to the local hotel bar on Christmas Eve, now that our children are older, but I really can't be bothered this year. Last Christmas Eve it was rammed plus it's quite cliquey in there, and I had one drunken woman going on at me throughout the night because I apparently once asked her to put her dog on a lead when it was making mine nervous - but I couldn't remember ever seeing her before. So all of that kind of put me off going this year.

Prepped food, had a lovely bath with Christmas bath bomb, now watching re-runs of Frasier.
Waiting for Carols from Kings so we can crack open the champagne and Christmas can really begin.

Lol. We watch it on the TV. Still got time...

multivac · 24/12/2016 17:03

The kids are upstairs playing online with their friends; Mr Multivac and I are on the sofas with the woodburner roaring, trying to find out who wrote 'If we never meet again'.

multivac · 24/12/2016 17:06

Turns out it was Jules Shear. Who knew?
