Putting a bought Xmas pud in the slow cooker

Hi everyone.
Has anyone ever put a bought Xmas pud in the slow cooker. I know I could microwave but I don't want to be jumping up at the end of the meal to stick it on - I want to leisurely get to it!!

i do this every year. fill crockpot half full with hot water and just stick it in (obviously removing plastic wrappers and leaving it in the pot it comes from the shop in). i put it on mid morning and we have it around 3-4 ish. i do it on auto or high
