Christmassy things to do to get in the festive mood?

I'm trying to think of things to do this evening, tomorrow and Christmas Eve to get in the festive mood! We have a 2.5 year old so toddler-friendly activities would be great as well as grown up ones after his bedtime!

Would love to hear some ideas!

Watch Christmas movies : Arthur Christmas for your little one

Take him to see the Christmas lights in town & Santa if you haven't already

Make paper snowflakes and cover in glitter for the windows
Make paper chains

Make mince pies & Christmas fairy cakes

Last night at bed time o told my kids to put thier dressing gowns on and get in the car, we went for a 15 min drive around the nearby town looking at all the xmas lights on the houses. Kids loved it.

We wrote 5 Xmas cards saying something like 'thank you for making such an effort with your Xmas lights. We love how festive they look' and my 6 yo and 2 yo signed the cards.

We then went on a 'Xmas light safari' and chose 5 houses with the best lights and posted a card through their doors. The kids loved it and it was a lovely, festive activity.

One of the households reciprocated by popping a card through our door with some tree chocolates, thanking the children and saying it had made their day! Will do it every year now I think.

We decided to watch Arthur Christmas on Netflix as you suggested and it was great - first time my toddler has sat through a feature length film and enjoyed it! Was so snuggly all 3 of us on the sofa under blankets

I am sure we'll do some of the other great suggestions tomorrow!
