Playmobil, happy land & lego duplo for 4 year old girl advice

My dd is nearly 4 & dd2 is 2.5, they have loads of happyland & love it... Is there any point in investing in Playmobil, whats the difference really is it all just pretend play with figures?
Also we have some duplo & they like it, when would they advance onto Lego friends or would playmobile be similar, love the way the duplo creates something & they are building their fine motor skills... Tia

You could look at Imaginext/Precious Places as an alternative to Playmobil. They have a great range of sets, are seriously robust and come ready made. There are almost no small pieces so they are fine for even a 2 year old but much, much older kids still love them. My 11 year old cousin almost drools over my 4 year old's collection.

The only thing is that it can be hard to find female characters so I supplement my DS's sets with playmobile figures.

Thanks so much for all the advice, yes I think I will let her enjoy her happyland & duplo for a little longer & invest in the regular lego & playmobil down the line, I really like the advice about holding off pushing them up the toy ladder, totally agree
