We are going to sil on Boxing day and staying a couple of nights. I have shamelessly stolen the idea from here to take wine, chocolates and a family game to play. Please help me decide! Ages - (intellegent) 9&10 year old, early 20's and early 40's. Players - 9.
If you were stuck on a dessert island with only one game (and a few bottles of vino) what would you take??

Articulate.

I would take a couple of packs of card so for cheat, new market, sevens, whist etc. All can be played with decent numbers of people with simple rules so not hard to learn. Though if you were planning on leaving the games as a gift you may look a bit mean if just a pack of cards!

Second Articulate.

Exploding Kittens card game. Hilarious and easy to learn.

Heratnumber7 · 20/12/2016 21:27

We love playing Uno with the machine that fires cards out.

Also cribbage and lots of other card games.

Rapidough is good too.

CelticPromise · 20/12/2016 21:33

Cranium is brilliant.

Bananagrams is good if you like word games. Similar to scrabble but faster and more fun. Card games like uno, jungle speed and dobble are good fun too.

Thanks all. I will look these suggestions up. 😁
Yes I plan to give the game as a gift. Xx

Rapidough - if you don't know it, it's essentially pictionary but with play dough instead of drawing the words/objects. Brilliant for all ages.

OllyBJolly · 21/12/2016 06:58

Cranium!

NormaStanleyFletcher · 21/12/2016 07:00

Pictionary

7 wonders without a doubt. It is our n°1 favourite game (and we have a lot of games)

Oh, just noticed 9 players, there is an extension pack that takes it to 8 . Age is from 10 but our DD started playing at 8.

neonrainbow · 21/12/2016 07:05

Articulate can be absolutely hilarious. Also uno is cheap and great fun and kids pick it up easily.

BouleBaker · 21/12/2016 07:07

Cranium. It's brilliant and even has my curmudgeon of a father joining in.
