I've made a selection of chutneys and other homemade stuff for a hamper and want to add some cheese and crackers to go with it... Which sort would you think would go best with Xmas chutney, beetroot chutney and pumpkin chutney?

VIGNOTTE..... Where are you buying it? My absolute favourite but I haven't seen it for years. Andnone you have to divulge your supplier....

Madbengalmum · 19/12/2016 18:37

Vignotte is sold in my local waitrose cheese counter and the deli.
Epoisses or lancashire bomb are my faves though!

Oh and for the original question, Colsten Bassett Stilton, a good West Country Farmhouse Cheddar ( to eat with the Christmas cake) and a goats cheese - Celles Sur Cher or Pouliny St. Pierre. Ooh or Vacherin Mont D'Or, that's in season now.

Duchy Originals oatcakes - they are lovely but too £££ to buy except as a treat.

Weedsnseeds1 · 19/12/2016 19:39

Mmmmmm Epoisses. I'm going to have to find a Waitrose tomorrow!

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 19/12/2016 19:41

Yep Waitrose for Vignotte. I need to get some for Christmas Eve.

littletike · 21/12/2016 20:04

Oooh thank you so much. I'll check out waitrose!
