What did you sneakily buy for yourself?

We exchange gifts as normal, but I think most people in the middle of the Christmas shopping end up taking advantage of a deal or popping in something as part of a 3 for 2. You may not be wrapping it up, but it's your gift all the same.

I got:

  • Pyjama bottoms from New Look
  • A Clinique skincare trio set
  • A La Roche Posay toner, to make up the order to get free delivery
  • Good quality boot socks
  • Peasant blouse in Hollister sale
  • Will probably get a diary and calendar in the new year sales.

How about you?

MrsH where did you get the screwdriver from?

theveryhighlife · 18/12/2016 23:38

I've bought myself the naked make up palette and a dress from Ralph Lauren. I can't wait to wear it!

OliviaStabler · 18/12/2016 23:41

Harry Potter theatre tickets

m0therofdragons · 18/12/2016 23:43

Nothing yet but planning to treat myself to some nice pjs

throwingpebbles · 18/12/2016 23:45

Nothing yet, because 4 kids to buy for and on a tight budget (thanks ex H)
But just been sent a very unexpected £20 voucher for fortnum and masons and want to treat myself with that - no idea what to buy though!

GlomOfNit · 18/12/2016 23:51

Was toying with a 'grown up' advent calendar but they go out of stock quickly, even the one I wanted, which was 24 different Chinese and Japanese teas. Blush I am hardwired at this time of year to buy cosy cosy hygge cosy stuff and DS1 now has FOUR pairs of PJs (in my defence he's shot out of all his current pairs) which is absurd. I was lusting after brushed cotton flannel ones for myself, spent ages looking for nice ones (WTF are all the cosy adult women's PJs in normally sane outfits like Sainsbury, M&S etc, synthetic fleece??) and then ended up with three pairs! (including a pair of preloved Cath Kidston rosy ones from a charity shop for £3, which I love) So yes. I have bought myself PJs in huge piles, also cosy socks. Grin

Also, randomly, beads. I make jewellery and having made more than expected at Christmas fairs, splurged on some beautiful handmade beads. I'd not normally spend on myself this time of year and feel a bit guilty.

Vodka

Loopsdefruits · 19/12/2016 00:22

The Too Faced Sweet Peach palette, I wasn't going to but I panicked that it was going to sell out again and I'd miss out (again) after I bought it I found out it's becoming a permanent addition so now I feel guilty

Saukko · 19/12/2016 15:13

I normally go nuts on pyjamas at this time of year too, Glom, but I've really not found much. I tend not to go beyond supermarket prices, or waiting for the M&S sale, but I like bright colours and prints and there's not been much about. I was in Polarn Y Pyret yesterday wishing I was rich enough to buy those :D

I bought myself 3 of the makeup revolution chocolate palettes (dupes for the too faced palettes) after fantastic you tube reviews. Bargain as there were on 3 for 3 on superdrug website for got 3 for £15.98.

Also bought 2 new urban decay lipsticks and a sleek blusher.

Bluntness100 · 19/12/2016 15:34

The hush Tara dress and two Hobbs jumpers. I do all my shopping on line so would have been rude not to whilst I was at it. 😂

whyistherumgone · 19/12/2016 16:33

Hers now I want them! I'm behind and haven't heard of Make Up Revolution.

I want a pair of the cable knit ugg slippers. I haven't splurged yet as they are pricey but I realllly want them so it's going to happen at some point!

Santamajormummy000 · 19/12/2016 16:44

A Moleskine diary in purple with my name and the year printed in gold Italic letters on the cover.

Yes I know I already have an academic one which is doing a fine job, but I was buying presents from the site and my hand just sort of wandered off on its own...Xmas Blush

likewhatevs · 19/12/2016 16:52

nothing sneaky. DH doesn't really notice what I buy until many months later!
so far:

~a diary (although that was in September!)
~a Cath Kidston cosmetic roll (from the factory shop so about 80% off!) I got my sister in law one too.
~some shoes. Um. 3 pairs I think. no actually 4 pairs - I'm waiting for an order from Clarks... All bargains you understand :)
~some dresses. maybe 3 or 4. I haven't decided what I'm keeping yet. All super-bargains though and very sensible for work wear.
~fabric. but I buy fabric all year round as I am quite addicted to it...

iklboodolphRedNoseReindeer · 19/12/2016 17:05

T shirt to wear with lounge pants
Radley handbag (apparently some designer? I got it for £15 off eBay because it goes with my dress)
Gin

Bertieboo1 · 19/12/2016 17:42

I hardly get to go shopping but managed some cosy lounge trouser type things from H&M, wooly socks, and 2 warm jumpers. Definitely hygge time of year.

WellTidy · 19/12/2016 17:54

Three skirts
Three tops to go with those skirts
Three pairs of opaque tights to go with those skirts and tops

Mince pies and brandy butter that I had eaten all of already

kiely32 · 19/12/2016 20:39
