Horace that is really sweet - thank you for sharing. Everyone here loved their presents including DMum who was very surprised by her stocking. DH even joined us at church which was another Christmas miracle.

I have a right, runny, snotty head cold that thankfully held off until after pudding. So I've left DD1 entertaining Nanna and watching Strictly while I have slathered on the Vicks, changed into my jim-jams and retreated to bed where I am going to have a little Christmas night perv over the lovely James Norton in last night's Grantchester.

All the planning, the lists, the buying, the deciding what NOT to buy .....

I put the DC presents out last night, they had different paper for DD/DS, and I bought light up stockings for them (trying to hold onto the very last scraps of their childhood)

DS slept late this morning finally rolled out of bed at 10am
DD got lots of make-up earrings , chocolate type presents and a couple of gift vouchers (guess where I'll be going on Tuesday.....shopping!)

Lots of food, cake, and Christmas telly.

I had a little melt down yesterday afternoon after receiving some truly bad gifts from certain people. I pointed out to dh that I had done absolutely everything and that I felt very unappreciated. Think he got the int.

Otherwise our day was lovely, food was great, I had prepared so much in advance I was in the kitchen for an hour tops. We watched movies and played with new toys. I think I need a sack to wear today I feel so big!

I've bought the wrapping paper for next year and I've got loads of cards left. I'm going to ring fence a bigger amount each month for next Christmas, it was expensive!

Off to Kew on Wednesday and a meal in London tomorrow and off to my mums to stay with them today so still lots of Christmas to go!
