Dad prezzie, please help!! ( What have you got your dad?)

Hi all,

We were not doing adult presents now suddenly we are again and I've got nothing substantial for my dad an no ideas.

He is mid 60s, no hobbies because he's a workaholic. He has plenty of money so just buys stuff he wants when he sees it.
Mum has already got him nice whisky.
Sister has got him a case of craft ale and some tooth breaking toffee.
Can't buy him clothes as he refuses to wear anything he didn't buy himself.
He has asked us not to get an "experience" gift.
Last year we got him a bee hotel.
Birthday he got a planted up pot decorated with grandkids handprints.

I am totally all out of ideas and really nees some inspiration, can anyone help?
Or tell me what you've all got for your 60ish dads?

My dad is getting ale, goodies (cheese & pork pie plus other bits that catch my eye) from the local farm shop & a Christmas cake made by me.

Got my dad a book, a pair of spy glasses (ones with mirrors so you can see behind you) A magic wallet (like a jacobs ladder, slim line) and a t shirt that says "That's what I do, I drink and I know things" which is from game of thrones. I bought my step mum a matching t shirt that says mother of dragons.

I also got him some ginger chocolates cus they're his favourite... And we're cooking christmas dinner this year instead of the parents, which will keep him happy. I have an eye out for some kind of toy/puzzle he can play with.

I've bought mine a BBQ tool set, costa latte glass set, and a storage tin for his gardening thing. And I've got my mum and dad tickets for an event too.

Dh (who is nearly the same age as your Dad) is getting from our dc,tickets to a show, dvd (Taggart), cds for the car (not technically minded enough to put music on his phone or link it to the car) notebook, polo shirt, chocolate.

My Dad is also mid 60s and we've got him the new Rolling Stones CD and the last Leonardo Cohen CD. Mum is mid 50s and we've got her a bottle of Conker gin.

I know, they should all be in a retirement home but they've got children and divorces to pay for Grin

Polo shirt from football club he supports and ticket to the game.

Previous presents have included - dvd's, bbq stuff, travel bag, books, foodie gifts, tickets to theatre for him and DM.

Haven't read THT so sorry for any repetition.

Is your dad my dad? He sounds exactly the same, even down to the bird hotel that we got him last year.

I was going to get a really nice whisky glass this year. Does he like birds? If so binoculars? Nice bird feeder type thing? My dad was surprisingly into some face cream that I bought him once by Aesop.

Last year I bought my dad a sock putterer oner. It was meant as a bit of a joke present but he thinks it's the best thing ever !

This year I've bought those food chopping scissors.

My 68 yr old dad is getting an espresso maker and two posh bags of decaff ground coffee ... He's difficult to buy for too, I always find my parents the trickiest to buy for.

I got my dad espresso cups, some coffee beans (nice bag of) and a panforte. All of which I know he will like.
FIL I got a chopper (you used to be able to get them from Pampered Chef, but this is from John Lewis) and some marmalade.

We got father a 'cure your own bacon' kit, manly enough, having read the to-do list simple enough and satisfying, who doesn't like bacon?

Hmm, not sure about a year of bacon, I think he'd find that odd.
He already has several pairs of binoculars and two telescopes. Which he doesnt use much...
His idea of a good coffee is a nescafe gold blend, he says real coffee is too strong Hmm
Whisky glass would work except he has tons already as my mum buys him a gift set that includes a glass most years.
I'm not sure he would use a sock putter oner. He is still perfectly capable of putting on his socks. I'm not actually sure how one works if I'm honest!!

I got mine a pile of second hand readers digest magazines from ebay because he loves to read them when he's on his holidays. Ive also got him a new bird box because he loves feeding the birds
