Well I just received them today after ordering them from China in September through Amazon. In fact I couldn't work out what they were when the package arrived as I had forgotten I had ordered them.

Anyway out of 25, only 2 of them work. What do you expect, DH asks, when you only paid £1.07 including postage?!

I'm hardly going to send them back to China so into the bin they've gone and DS is one present down for his stocking.

Has anybody else had this problem? I know quite a few of you will have ordered them as I think I ordered them using a Mumsnet link.

I got some but paid more than £1.07. Your DH is right!

Anyway how many does your ds need?

I got some from Amazon and most of them worked. They gave a few extra with a note to say some may have broken on transit.

I ordered 36 for £2.31.
Only 5 of them didn't work.
But I'd be hesitant about using the blue ones as they are too bright, blinding

Lesson learnt.
You definitely get what you pay for in this instance!

Review then on Amazon then forget it.

I've seen them in UK stores like B&M.

OvO · 13/12/2016 20:57

Sometimes they just need a squeeze/jiggle/thump to make them work.

I bought 20 and in the end only 1 refused to work.

Tiggles · 13/12/2016 22:08

I have bought loads over the last few years at that sort of price and normally they all work. Like OvO says sometimes they need a little encouragement e.g. the button pushed too far stops them working, others need a good push.

HourglassTigger · 13/12/2016 22:16

Tiger is selling them for 2 quid a hand (5 lights).
I defy you to go in there and just buy him that one item for his stocking.

Oooops now DS is 73 presents up for his stocking.
