My dad is 64 and retired this week, largely against his will, because of health issues. He's not into sports because of health issues. He's got all the books in the world on a digital format and spent most of his working life (engineer) in hotels around the world, so he's got his fancy gadgets for his laptop etc himself. He's really into music, but again, it's all digital and he's got loads of the stuff, and when I get him new albums he's either got them already or doesn't like them. I buy him whiskey and live gig DVDs all the time, but I feel like it's cheating and I want to do something 'special'. this year. But I'm also flying down short-notice in a couple of days...
