Lego friends theme park
Adidas superstars
Instax instant camera (&films)

I find this age really easy and could have spent an absolute fortune!

EddieVeddersfoxymop · 12/12/2016 11:18

Mine is getting a tv/dvd/firestick for her bedroom as her main gift. Then she's getting:
pokemon - game for 3ds, books and cards to start her off
Tsum Tsum collectors case plus a few packets
Smiggle stuff
Huge box of sharpies
Lego airshow (she's RAF daft)
few dvds
jellybelly machine and beans
rubiks cube
magic 8 ball
fairy garden set
pjs, tshirts as normal
and tickets to see Strictly Live!

Sounds a lot when I write it down Blush

MissWimpyDimple · 12/12/2016 12:51

Wow I feel stingey now.

DD 10 is getting a JD Bug scooter, 2 books and a lunch box.

We don't go too mad at Christmas really. She doesn't seem to have a problem with it though!

Having said that. My parents are buying as a laptop as a family and that will be largely hers.

Dancergirl · 12/12/2016 13:38

pop where did you buy the Adidas Superstars and are they adult or child size?

My nearly 10 year old has asked for some but they seem a bit too teenager-ish. I bought a pair for my 13 year old in the summer but her feet have pretty much stopped growing.

0hCrepe · 12/12/2016 13:40

PhilODox they are to learn fingering and clarinet parts by whirlwind press. Just giving them ago so she can get better a sight reading.

PhilODox · 12/12/2016 13:47

Thanks crepe! Sounds very interesting.

Garnelian · 12/12/2016 13:51

I have bought some Superstars for my 10 year old niece - I bought from Zalando and they were about £47. I had a credit note from there for £30 so she'll be thrilled.

user1477282676 · 12/12/2016 14:03

12 year old has a phone and 8 year old has an American Girl doll and some accessories and clothes.

They've both got some games and the older one has bath stuff and some makeup as well as two tops she was after...the little one has crafty stuff and the big one has some too.

I'm sitting here now, worried that the amounts don't look equal as older DD"s things were more expensive the gifts are smaller physically!

UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter · 12/12/2016 14:16

we got dd's superstars from footasylum and jd sports in the summer. she got iridescent ones from foot asylum and then later with birthday money got the ones with black stripes. they are worn by all ages it would seem, except for my almost 15yr old boy who says they are for 'little girls'!

dd has quite a lot but not one big thing like we would normally buy and then just fillers.
she has
pens (brought the sets from asda when reduced after they went back to school)
note books with rose gold covers (sainsburys)
Grumpy cat socks
Cat face shaped light
pink and purple ball shaped fairly lights
cat shaped pillow
purple superdry hoodie
forever 21 hoodie
lila doll for Disney store
lilo and stitch set (she loves stitch)
Various jewellery items such as chokers, bracelet, from places like primark forever 21, claires
necklace hand stamped with her intial on a rose gold heart from topshop oxford street
our generation doll (red head with glasses as requested)
outfits for her og dolls
American girl doll with curly hair
American girl dog
shibajuku doll
dressing gown from john lewis
sparkly headphones
clothes from new look (couple of jumpers and some black jeans)
kawaii alpaca
smellies from lush

That looks an awful lot now its written down. its so hard not to get carried away when buying for my daughter as shes so easy and other than the superdry hoodie she loves shopping in new look so usually around the £10 mark, whereas her teen brothers its all tiny things in tiny boxes with big £££ costs

MrsPnut · 13/12/2016 16:20

That looks great, our daughter got a camera for her birthday a few years ago and they had great fun taking underwater selfies on holiday. She has used it a lot since she got it.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 13/12/2016 17:25

I had one of those cameras a few years ago and really liked it!

I struggled this year tbh, dd is 11yo in Feb but quite young for age, money also been tight this year that said she hasn't done bad/

The playmobil zoo
About 3 lego sets (picked up in the Sainsburys sale!)
A few dig your own fossil/ crystal sets
A new pencil case
A hoody
Slippers
A couple of dvd

torroloco · 13/12/2016 17:37

Zoella is a twee smug little cunt who does Youtube videos. You would be aware of her if its something your DD was into im sure

MrsPnut · 13/12/2016 17:42

Wilkinsons has a whole load of pretty woodland themed stationery that I raided for stocking presents. Nothing expensive and I got a little artists figure and a tin of watercolour pencils for £3 each.

MandyFl0ss · 13/12/2016 19:02

Never heard of her but I'll have to look her up now

youngestisapsycho · 13/12/2016 19:06

Crafty and drawing stuff, Zoella stuff, monster high doll..... main present is a new CD player for her room and we're getting her a hamster!
She has been asking for one for 4 years.... it's gonna be such a surprise, she has no idea, and I can't wait to see her face on Xmas morning!

17caterpillars1mouse · 13/12/2016 19:43

I got a gameboy colour for my 10th birthday. What about the modern equivalent?

FanDabbyFloozy · 13/12/2016 21:51

Dancergirl The parental controls on the Kindle fire are super easy to set up! The whole set-up is straightforward. But do get a protective case/cover as my only complaint is that they are fragile.

Dancergirl · 14/12/2016 20:16

Thanks fan I was going to let dd choose a case herself but maybe I should just buy one to go with it...
