Next day delivery if ordering in 23rd Dec?

Which shops would be the best bet for delivery on Saturday 24th if I'm ordering on 23rd?

I get paid on Friday 23rd and need to get a few things (men's pjs/slippers/top).

Am I deluded?

I think you're probably going to be better going to the shops. Even if shops offer it they can't guarantee it and you don't want to be stuffed on Christmas Eve!

Next are v good with their delivery.

I can't think of many places that will offer guaranteed delivery on the 24th. Even ASOS is the 23rd; and they are usually excellent.

I'd do reserve online somewhere if you can and brave the shops.

Was trying to avoid going to the shops as DS2 is being a nightmare with bf and the nearest are 45 min away. Argh.

Might get up early, check the situation with Next but be prepared to hike into town. Thanks for the suggestions

If you've got Amazon Prime, Prime Now deliver in 2 hours. Not sure whether you could get what you want on there but it's a very good, and reliable, service IME.

Could you order from next now on a credit account to make sure it gets there on time and set a reminder on your phone so you go on and pay it off in full as soon as you get paid?

I'll have a look on Amazon, that'd be excellent if they could do same day. Also, just looking on Next and they also do same day delivery now. I do have a next account so might upgrade it to a credit account.

Hopefully that'll sort it. Or everyone can have vouchers and prosecco from the Co-op

If you're really struggling you could always do Amazon vouchers to print? I'm sure there are probably other places that offer it too.

I'm the same, get paid on the 23rd, a week early, which is all good and well... work say they're doing it to help us out but it's not actually that helpful is it, only 2 days before Christmas?! A week before the actual day would be much more beneficial!

I agree! Work used to pay us around 19th (we get paid on 25th) but have stopped doing it now

Keep checking your account. I often find that my pay arrives a bit early that week.

I've sorted the next account, it's worked out well. 6 months interest free credit (I'll just pay it off tbh) but there's £10 off your order for opening a new credit account.

The only place I completely trust for next day delivery is next - I know the delivery driver and she carefully lowers it over the fence if I'm not in!
