Inspiration for present for my dad?

Asking MN as lots of you are really clever. Any ideas for my dad?

He's currently suffering from cancer. While fairly well at the moment, the chemo has left him with less concentration and numb finger tips. Over the past year lots of people (including me) has bought him books but he can't concentrate on them. The same with audible books.

He loves tv and radio.
He is former RAF and a sailer and great at carpentry and building things. I had some inspiration of an old airfix kit of his favourite aircraft but then remembered the numb fingers.

I've bought him some 'Bah humbugs' from Horton monster supplies. His favourite story ever is The Christmas Carol.

He won't expect much but this is all the moment! I know it's asking the virtual impossible but any greats ideas out there I haven't come across?

How about vouchers for a day out to visit a famous ship, maybe the Cutty Sark or The Discovery, depending which end of Britain you're nearest!

Or a bok with lots of pictures and snippets of info, so he can dip in and out of it rather than needing to concentrate fully?

Or maybe a print from the Maritime Museum shop here?

The Tim Peake book (£7 on Amazon) has got some beautiful pictures

Also what about some nice gloves and a voucher for a meal out/afternoon tea
Second the idea about a day out - Portsmouth (Mary rose etc) is lovely if you're down this way

Or subscription to radio/tv times, new radio, iPod with his favourite songs on, actual record player with some vinyl records, subscription to Netflix or similar

Thanks for ideas. The day out idea is great but I think he'd find it too tiring.
However I love the Netflix idea. I'm always loathe to mess with their TV set up but I think he'd love Netflix.

Photography books are good too. Love the prints from Maritime Museum.

If you think he would like a book with photos this one is great.

South is excellent btw. Also The Lost Photographs of Captain Scott if he'd like that sort of thing.

Yeah! That looks fab. Thanks. May even be good for DH too!
