My kids have recently started a new school and both have male teachers. I have picked up some bargainous Yankee candles for the 4 teaching assistants but am stuck for ideas for the guys! Am looking to spend around £5 each (but want it to seem like I have spent more! ) Any ideas??

4 cans of Skol?

Just kidding. I'd go with Costa card, manly mug or travel cup. Maybe chocs.

I would buy a bottle of wine.

Not a mug! They get thousands over the course of their career! I usually buy a gift card, Amazon, Costa or a book voucher. A teacher would rather have a £5 voucher than something that looks more but that they will never use

Wine and chocolates are good for a budget of £5ish, vouchers or smelly sets might be an idea for about £10ish. Personally I always give the safe but boring gift of nice chocolates wrapped up in a pretty bag.

I'm female and would always prefer a £5 voucher than a candle, bottle of wine, smellies, chocs etc. I wouldn't use any if them, and every bugger has the same idea so you get loads.

I particularly hate bloody yankee candles :). People always assume because i have a vagina i must love them.

I used to do teacher gifts but stopped. Although will buy them before summer holidays as both DC got amazing teachers this year
