Walkie Talkies that actually work?

Has anyone had any success buying walkie talkies that actually work? I know my son would love some, but have tried in the past and they were complete rubbish. I've seen video walkie talkies which would be fab, but mixed reviews. Thanks

Just don't buy toy ones. Look at real ones and they will work.

We have the binatone 150's which we've been happy with. Reception is not too bad and there are a few different channels, in case your neighbors have the same idea.

They live on the charging station so no hunting round for batteries.

Binatone or Motorola are both good, we still have a 12 year old set that works!

Yes ours are bin atone and have been going for years (kept on the charging station though so constantly eating electricity)

Ds has Binatone Latitude 150 Twin Walkie Talkie. They are fab. They work for virtually the entire length of our village.

We have the ones that Dubious linked to and they are fantastic. DS loves them, as does all his pals. They've withstood a few years of abuse use now and still work perfectly. Good battery life in them too. Would definitely recommend.

My DD had toy Walkie Talkies (Hannah Montana ones Grin) and they worked quite well, lasted a couple of years of a lot of use. Admittedly these were brought 7/8 years ago.

I agree about Binatone, I have also used these in the past and have never had any problems.

Thanks, that's great.
