Hi,
Anyone got any suggestions for a good board game or card game for adults? Ideally playable by only 2 people.
Is just to finish off a stocking so aiming for £5-10!
I was looking at pairs of pear game but not sure if too babyish!
Thanks :)

DH and I have rather enjoyed Gloom with just the two of us and it can also be played by more.

Jaipur without a doubt!!

Love Letter is good with 2 people (although better with 3 or 4) and there are loads of different versions - standard, Batman, Hobbit etc.

Exploding Kittens

Sushi Go

Hanabi

Uno (if they don’t have it already)

Port Royal

Fluxx

All are suitable for both adults and kids (as long as you don’t buy the NSFW version of Exploding Kittens…amusing if solely played with adults though). Think you should be able to get most of them for around £10 or under.

I’ve also heard good things about Jaipur which was recommended above but never played it myself.

We love banana grams and dobble.

vikjul · 07/12/2016 11:17

Oh yes, in addition to Jaipur, I agree with Love Letter and Port Royal suggested above. Monopoly Deal is fun too!

Arrowfanatic · 07/12/2016 11:20

Cards against humanity, I spend my time crying with laughter

PurpleDaisies · 07/12/2016 11:32

Cards against humanity needs the right sort of audience.

I personally hated it.

NannyR · 07/12/2016 11:37

Bananagrams and dobble.

Apples to Apples is the 'clean' version of Cards against Humanity, and has more replayability.

Fluxx, Chrononauts, Gloom, San Juan, Pass the Pigs.
