Special present for best friend?

I have a close friend who has basically the only reason I've survived this year. I want to get her something special - but not ott - around £40

I'm usually good at this sort of thing but I'm really struggling!

What about something personalised from not on the high street?

Ok, this is a bit cheesy, but could you make her some 'open when' letters (you may need to google)
It's basically a set of letters you write to her, each one different
'Eg open when you've had a bad day at work' and you write how amazing she is at her job/ how respected she is. You can add a mini bottle of wine
Eg open when you've had a row with your bloke- write a note and include a gift eg mini chocolate
' open when you need a chat' and include a gift card for a restaurant and your phone number
There are literally hundreds of examples on line. She may hate it, but if she's the sentimental type, she may like it
