Present ideas for patrol driver?

He does lots of motorway driving, but isn't a trucker so no need for travel kettles and the like. Short of a decent paper based road map incase of sat nav failure I'm at a loss for any good ideas.

Anyone have a patrol person in their lives who can share what would be appreciated as a present?

I would generally avoid gifts that relate to peoples jobs and think of them as people first and foremost. Most work related gifts are just a bit bleurrgh

What do they do when not working?

A decent thermal mug that you can put takeaway tea/coffee into to stop it spilling or going stone cold instantly.

I'm assuming you mean police patrol or similar, in which case probably not audiobooks but if he's going to have to be getting in and out of the car a lot, instant/pocket handwarmers, lightweight thermals?

I have lots of ideas for personal presents, but as this is a new job I wanted to get a couple of things that would come in handy that he won't already have. Thermal mug and hand warmers are a great idea thanks.
