Design a friend or our generation?

Which is better? Dd(6) has never been into dolls but now wants a doll with long hair (like her own hair which is to the back of her knees). So I've seen on Amazon an our generation hair grow doll, but an advert was just on for a design a friend stylist doll. This is a minefield for me, are they the same size? Are they the same quality? help me please

Just had the same dilemma - ended up researching American Girl, Gotz, Our Generation and Design a friend.

Eventually decided on Our Generation as it seemed the best value money and the dolls looked better quality than DAF. I did really like the Gotz dolls but Dd couldn't see one she liked. We bought Holiday Hope OG and 3 outfits!

Thank you I've just compared photos and I agree the og dolls look better quality. I'm going to go with hair play phoebe. I had no idea that smyths sold them it's a good job I googled as the same doll is almost £10 cheaper than Amazon!

Yes I bought all my bits from Smyths and free delivery. It was all well packaged too!

There are some nice clothes in tesco for our generation dolls. They fit perfectly.

I'm getting Hair Play Portia for DD. Apparently you need a special brush to actually use on their hair, though, or it goes horrible.

We've got DD and DSD our generation this year. I think I read that they fit the same clothes as design a friend (fingers crossed as we have loads of them!)

Did has both from last year and plays with them daily so they take a lot of wear and tear.
They all look the same but the OG dolls withstand her playing much better,as the body is better stuffed.
The DF dolls arms and legs have gotten loose now.
