Help - I've got my boss for Secret Santa! What to get her?!

I have to make sure my Secret Santa gift is not completely crap this year as I've pulled my boss's name out of the hat...

She's in her early 40s, smartly dressed (well, she always wears nice shoes and is good at co-ordinating accessories etc), a very professional person, and I think she is sort of into health and fitness. Other than that I don't know her that well!

Any ideas?!

What's the price limit?

myoriginal3 · 03/12/2016 12:31

What's the budget

TaliDiNozzo · 03/12/2016 13:18

Yes, echo the others, budget makes a huge difference.

I would suggest nothing too personal, nor "funny". If she is sporty, how about an autobiography of a female athlete?

HeyMicky · 03/12/2016 13:31

I bought mine one of the new Famous Five adult series - 5 Go On A Strategy Away Day

Flingmoo · 03/12/2016 20:40

Sorry, I forgot to add the budget! It's only £10.

Photo frame?

I kind of made her out to be a bit serious. She is always chatty and friendly and thoughtful. She would appreciate some funny presents like the one HeyMickey mentioned but nothing lewd or overly tacky!

As Hey Mickey suggested you could get an adult ladybird book / The Meeting or something like that. I had my very seriousboss last year and bought her a lovely scarf as she wears scarves all the time., A really nice notebook, or a bottle of chambord and a mini bottle of prosecco.

Yankee candle Christmas votive selection pack? £10 in Asda.

DoItTooJulia · 04/12/2016 09:49

What about one of those travel mugs that you put fruit in the middle of to infuse the water?

Unescorted · 04/12/2016 09:55

I got that one last year... I raided the kids chemistry set & made a staff cloning kit because we were over run with work and had just had huge cuts announced. She has taken it to her new job where it sits on the desk.

I've bought Graham Norton's wine for mine! He also has a book called Holding which is meant to be good if she doesn't drink wine!

Thegirlonthebus · 04/12/2016 22:57

I would go for a £10 bet on a white Christmas. It's what I did when I got my boss and went down really well!
