That's it really, no budget (within reason). Thanks!

I've bought a monster jam rc truck for 4 yo ds. I've had a play and it's brilliant Grin it comes with a ramp so he can make it flip and things. Obviously it helps that he loves monster trucks.

It is a grave digger truck from argos 19.99

My then-4yo got one last year in response to putting "rmoat cunt rolled car" on his list. I can heartily recommend not getting one if that's any help Xmas Grin

More seriously, I would recommend spending lots of money on one. The cheap ones are more trouble than they're worth as they are not robust enough to be driven into walls/doors/skirting boards, and the control signal flakes out. So, if you look at this page at JL I wouldn't bother with any of the £50 ones.

I think it depends on the 4 yo. I certainly wouldn't pay more than I have for ds, it would be a waste of money. I'm sure he'll play with it for a month then it would fall out of favour for a sheet of bubble wrap.

I have bought this one for ds after a recommendation on here - I actually paid slightly more than that in Asda for it. Reviews were good. Haven't tried it but have my fingers crossed as we've had some shit ones.

We're looking at this one. Waterproof, can be used outside on a wide range of terrain and has a good range distance. Not a bad price at £24.99

Just seen it's the same as the one recommended by Satsuki and John Lewis have it for a better price than wonderland Grin

Let's hope it's a good one and we're not all crying into our turkey cornflakes on Boxing Day Grin

Thank you! I'll look into them

I know this is an old thread but posting as ds is 4 and would like an RC car for Christmas. Which one did you get and was it any good? Reviews seem split between good and rubbish on most ive looked at.
