Feeding a Christmas cake

Just wanted some advice please

How much brandy do you feed your cakes and for how long ?

Is it a case of just keep topping up till your ready to ice or should I be careful ?

I've fed it 3 times )generous measures )now and don't want to ruin it

I'm doing a tablespoon of brandy every 10 days or so. No feeding for the week before icing.

I pour it a single whisky once a week or so ... And then a double for myself

Thanks so much . I think I've been over feeding so won't put any more in , will keep for myself now

I over fed mine a couple of years ago and it turned into alcoholic mush
