Blu Asda had, I think, 10% or 15% off gift cards on Wednesday when I was in there. They do the packs of 3x£10 cards too.

TobleroneBoo · 02/12/2016 07:10

Any ideas on a token toy present for a 1year old? Have already got him the rest of his bits, so just something extra for a couple of quid that's not big or noisy Grin

youokayhun · 02/12/2016 07:14

Does anyone know if there's a firebox code knocking about? Confused I've missed all the bloody bargains and am so annoyed with myself!

Also not sure if anyone's mentioned it but if you buy the Olaf snow cone maker on the entertainer website for £20 you can put in code AFOLAF5 and it takes it down to a fiver.... We all know these toys are rubbish but I guess it's less painful at £5!

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 02/12/2016 07:18

Stupid hype have refunded my order. I hate when they do that. I could have chosen something else if it showed as OOS. Luckily my candles arrived and are gorgeous. I bought 4 and am tempted to go back and order more

LostMyRubySlippers · 02/12/2016 07:51

Ive got a single use code for H&M for 10% off plus free delivery. Valid till 11th Dec. Not going to use it so please PM me if you would like it

Afishcalledchips · 02/12/2016 07:55

Pairs in pears were in home bargains for £2/3 a while back too

Badders123 · 02/12/2016 08:06

I'm off to IKEA to buy my tree

littlecupcake · 02/12/2016 09:16

Where's the best place to get reasonably priced, decent quality wrapping paper? Thought I bought some after Christmas last year but there's nothing in the loft!

PersisFord · 02/12/2016 09:20

Does anyone know if I buy a jumper from M&s online if I can get some kind of gift receipt? The recipient would be returning it to store I think (grandparent and not cool with computers). Or would M&s just change it without a receipt? He is v old fashioned and wouldn't like to know how much it cost.

Guys I'm SO EXCITED!!! Going to get the tree today with the kids, then we are going to make salt dough ornaments and paper chains to put on it. And I'm going to buy a wreath - never had one before!!! How do you attach it to the door?? It's a PVC door, no knocker or anything but I wondered if I could thread a ribbon through the letterbox?

Final question - I need ideas for a menu for a party. Shall I put a thread in the Christmas topic or in the food topic?

PersisFord · 02/12/2016 09:22

IKEA wrapping paper is nice cupcake or I saw some in home bargains yesterday - not sure about the quality though. I'm wrapping ours in plain brown paper and then letting the kids glitter it!!!

Just ordered a case of craft beer for DH and FIL Halo Perfect for his stocking as it's the naice stuff, only £14, I got £10 off with code VIVRELEREVE10 saw it on a twitter, don't think it's single use.

DearMrDilkington · 02/12/2016 09:42

Anyone know where can I get those mashem squishy things from online that will deliver?! Every website I've looked on has been in-store only. I wanted them for dds stocking filler as she's obsessed with them.Hmm

Blu123 · 02/12/2016 09:47

Oh thanks MissRainbowBrite, will go and have a look in Asda!

steppemum · 02/12/2016 10:00

wreath to pvc door - string up to the top and then attach to the top edge. I think dh may use a screw to screw it in. But to be honest I hand it to him and tell him to fix it Grin

I did do it one year by string over the top to the inside and then sellotape the string to the inside of the door.

Snooky17 · 02/12/2016 10:04

You can also buy wreath holders from the pound shop like those over the door hangers

SharonStrzelecki · 02/12/2016 10:06

persis you can definitely get gift receipts when you shop at m and S online, I got two different things last week, both with gift receipts. You just have to tick a box when you're ordering, I think it said 'this will be a gift'.

DillieDoily · 02/12/2016 10:12

minnow I got these metal ones from B&M

Persis over door things go fine on PVC doors, but ours will only face in. Can't get a better photo as it's too bright outside, but you get the idea. Think mine was 89p from Home Bargains or B&M.

May have to go buy a gold painted cactus for the upstairs toilet. Spread the Christmas loo love Xmas Grin

Hedgehoggy they do still do them up to age 8 for less than a fiver!

insan1tyscartching · 02/12/2016 10:35

£5 off any magazine subscription paid by paypal or credit/debit card at www.magazinesubscriptions.co.uk/ with code EXTRA5. Had a look through and you could get a six month subscription for as little as a tenner.

MinnowAndTheBear · 02/12/2016 10:50

Thanks all! Love this thread

Lapinlapin · 02/12/2016 10:53

Persis salt dough ornaments for the tree is a good idea. What do you make? Or do you just give the kids free range to do what they like? My 6 year is desperate to make decorations and I've promised we will, but I'm not really sure what to do!

Was thinking maybe of buying some kits from Hobbycraft or anywhere that does (bargainous!) Diy decorations, but I'm not sure where the best place to look is? Maybe salt dough would be better though.
