Thanks for the printed coaster link a few pages back.
Great idea. I've bought my dd a coaster with a photo of her on a beach on holiday.

Bollinger down to £29.99 on Amazon: www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003V3POVS/ref=pe_385721_37986871_TE_item

coolpatterngirl · 07/12/2016 22:02

Can anyone recommend a good (and bargainous) practical joke set which must include fake poo?

LittleReindeerwithcloggson · 07/12/2016 22:09

Please can some lovely person post the link to the page where you can find cheap things to make up an Amazon order. Need to find a very cheap book to avoid postage!

trixymalixy · 07/12/2016 22:11

I have build a bear stuffing station Argos reservations at Chesterfield and glossop if anyone wants them.

I was hedging my bets seeing if any of my relatives in the north of England could get me one. Thanks to stock informer and DH's lovely cousin I finally managed to get one!

primitivemom · 07/12/2016 22:13

does anyone have an hmv code by any chance? x

Ness1234 · 07/12/2016 22:16

RJnomore1 try the online shop Book Depository, I think they do free delivery.

confuugled1 · 07/12/2016 22:23

coolpattern not sure if it includes fake poo, but this week's Beano comes in a bag with about 12 cover gifts, most of which seem to be those sorts of jokes. DS hasn't shown them all to me yet, mostly as he wants to show me by playing pranks... So I know there's a pencil that doesn't work and an ice cube with a fly in it, expect I will discover more over the next few days Xmas HmmXmas Grin

But if you're buying a practical joke set for a dc or similar, then the Beano might suffice (if it has the poo!) or be a useful extra for the stocking or to keep them quiet over the holidays at some point!

Pumpkin patch sale looks great but it says they despatch orders from New Zealand so would import duty get charged? Would make it a lot less bargainous if so.

RJnomore1 · 07/12/2016 22:35

Thank you ness they have it, it's £6odds but free delivery.

girlsyearapart · 07/12/2016 22:40

KM they were just on the tops card website. Google personalised match attax and you should find.
Just have ds his for his 5th birthday his face was an absolute picture Smile

Whatdoesaturkeydo · 07/12/2016 23:04

Have never been charged import fees on pumpkin patch but it can be quite a long time for delivery - several weeks.

neddle · 07/12/2016 23:12

Where's a good place to get 24" bikes? I was thinking they would be around £60-70, but the best I can find is around £100.

cookiefiend · 07/12/2016 23:13

Remember Thursday is the last day for writing to Santa at the Royal Mail and getting a reply. Include your child's name and address and send first class to Santa/Father Christmas,
Santa's Grotto,
Reindeerland,
XM4 5HQ

I too am sad the thread is slowing- it's my favourite one and I haven't finished

KM0928 · 07/12/2016 23:40

Thank you Girlsyearapart

bonnie how would your dh react to a unicycle? I bought one for dh last year when I was stuck for something to give him and it went down really well... I googled and got a reasonable basic one from a unicycling/juggling shop that included a stand and beginners guide for about £55, much cheaper than buying the same thing off amazon.

For the photography side of things how about a voucher to go on a photo day course or a photo walk? There are lots around these days, some very general, some very specific ones if he has other special interests (eg photographing birds or cars or wild cats etc etc). And some good bargains pop up on Groupon type sites, particularly for the walks.

I've been going to a photo course recently, the things that seemed to be most in demand from people there as being on their wanted list included a ring flash / light, different lenses, a lens baby tilt shift or lens baby similar thingy, a subscription to Digital Camera, reflectors, a kneeling pad (usually just a gardening one so you can kneel down with out getting your knees wet or dirty or sore!), a voucher for a photobook for him to put his best pictures/pix from the last year/etc in, and a way to make their own mounts for their pictures.

PersisFord · 08/12/2016 08:04

Hello everyone I am doing spectacularly badly!! Any ideas for:

A 40 yo who likes running and coffee and eating (budget £40)

A watch for a preschooler

Any discounts for men's shirts?

Secret Santa - £15, female mid 30s?

Don't feel nostalgic guys - I've barely started!!

GinAndSonic · 08/12/2016 08:11

I've got next to nothing either Confused

margaritasbythesea · 08/12/2016 08:31

I need to buy a men's shirt too. I'm thinking Jaeger outlet at the moment.

LibertineLola · 08/12/2016 08:40

margaritasbythesea

Lots of nice Mens Jaeger shirts in TK Maxx last night at good prices

featherpillow · 08/12/2016 08:45

M&S have men's luxury shirts 2 for £60 and 3 for £90 (originally £45 each I think)

margaritasbythesea · 08/12/2016 09:20

Thanks. I 'll check those out.

Lapinlapin · 08/12/2016 09:44

bonnie if your dh likes Clarkson, I assume you already have amazon prime so he can watch the Grand Tour? If not, a fire stick and an Amazon prime subscription would be a good idea!

Or a track day?

I bought my Dh this for a joke:

Top Gear Cool wall poster

I spotted it on the Entertainer website whilst shopping for the dc so bought it as it's only 50p!
