can you suggest another author they might like?!

Struggling for my dad this year and he likes baldacci novels but he's got loads and I can't keep track of what he's read/hasn't. Thought I might introduce him to someone new!

Anyone recommend anyone silmilar?
Thanks!

I enjoy baldacci. I also loved Dick Francis though slightly different theme (criminality in horse racing). Very easy reads and he has several books.

Lee Child and David Baldacci both had new books out in November - IMO the David Baldacci was miles better, even though I had high hopes for both. So, early Lee Childs might hit the spot ("Killing Floor" is very good). Also Zoe Sharp is really good, British-based crime series, similarly pacy and exciting.

Does he like all the Baldacci series? If he likes the political thrillers best, look at Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, Mark Gimenez, Scott Turow or even Tom Clancy (the early ones are very old, but still good).
Lee Child is closes to the John Puller series but I agree Night School (the new one) is not close to being his best, the series is fantastic to start with, but the last three or so have been steadily declining. There's also Matt Hilton, who writes a similar character, Roger Hobbs, Patrick Lee and Joseph Finder.
If he might a good British thriller, there's Luke Delaney's Sean Corrigan series (set in London) and Peter James's Roy Grace series, which are set in Brighton. I also like Kerry Wilkinson's Manchester-based series.

Wow guys - thank you so much for these replies! Lots to go on!

Yep, he's got about 5 series - John Puller (like Jack Reacher), King & Maxwell (private detectives, some government intrigue stuff), Will Robie (govt hitman, Tom Clancy-ish), Camel Club (political thrillers), Amos Decker (ex-cop, remembers everything - haven't read these yet) and there's a few standalones too.
