Perfume recommendations for DD 10

DD is 10 and has requested perfume for Xmas, I can't decide if she is too young for it or not? DH thinks not, i dont mind buying it but I do think buying a 10 year old a £50 bottle of perfume is a bit much!

Has anyone recommendations for perfume without me having to sniff everything in boots that also isn't too expensive?!

At that age my DD loved sweet smelling perfumes. New Look, Zara, holister all do reasonable priced perfumes perfect for that age group without breaking the bank

Boots Ted Baker Pink bodyspray has been my dd's favourite since age 11. The Soap and Glory bodysprays(about £6?) as well as Zoella (£8 from Superdrug) are basically in between perfume and shower gel and good beginner ones if you think she might spray herself too often.

The trend for teens is for sweet smells like Ariana Grande if you want to buy a "proper" one.

The Britney Spears ones are really nice and sweet smelling. Very reasonably priced too.

Marks and Spencer is light and pretty without being too grown up or sickly. It's cheap and comes in a pretty bottle a bit like a Marc Jacobs one.

Tommy Girl is good too for a younger girl. Cacharel Amor Amor is a pretty furity floral that's only £15 and Avon Cherish smells like La Vie est Belle but is around £11 a bottle.

Sorry, I meant to say Marks and Spencer Butterlfy perfume.

I don't suppose she'll be expecting £50 perfume, but probably one from Next or one of the cheaper celeb ones.

I was about 10 when I was given a little bottle of Coty perfume, the sort you bought in the chemist for a few pounds. I thought it was very sophisticated

The Library of Fragrance ones from Boots are lovely and not too spendy.

I,ve bought my dd Honeysuckle and one called Baby Powder

They smell lovely, not too sophisticated and are designed to be mixed together

Get a celebrity one like britney - fantasy is great, cheap price, pretty bottle and a very young scent.

It's the first year of dd asking for more grown up items, clothes, perfume etc rather than just toys. She seems far too grown up, I was still asking for and playing with sylvanians at her age!

Home Bargains is your friend. Sunflowers which I have thought quite young. There is another Elizabeth Arden one called Pretty. Both under a tenner and Britney Spears 12.99

Philosophy perfumes are nice and light for pre teens, my dd likes the Grace one.

My DD got the Ariana Grande one for her twelfth birthday. It is too sweet for me but really suits her.

She also collects the Ted Baker ones.

My 12yo DD has just been given a small bottle of Lanvin Eclat D'Arpege which I don't think was anywhere near £50 (more like £17 I think).
It is a lovely, light, pretty fragrance and it suits DD very well.

My DD (9) has Katy Perry's Meow in the pink cat shaped bottle and also Katy's Spring Reign.

Britney ones are good, and One Direction have a couple of nice ones too, they're quite inexpensive
