Wallracer or Bugs in the Kitchen for 7yo nephew - experience of either?

Having a bit of a hard time to come up with gift ideas for my 7yo nephew. He isn't really interested in Lego or sports, and his parents are a bit skeptical of Nerf guns, which was what I had planned to get him.

I was thinking that one of the following might be a good idea:

  • A wallracer, ie a remote control car that climbs walls. Does anyone have one of these that you would recommend?
  • The Ravensburger game Bugs in the Kitchen (the one with a hexbug). The rest of his family don't have much time for board games, but this would be playable with friends of the same age I think. Would you recommend this if you have it?

Any other suggestions that are fun for that age group (budget up to £30 or so)?

I bought this for my 7yr old son. It's a little noisy and batteries don't last too long before it needs to be recharged but he loves it.

Thank you all! I ended up ordering Bugs in the Kitchen, and will save the wall racer idea for his next birthday.
