Just letting you all know how lovely the toys are in Lidl this week. I've justbought a marble run and remote control wooden train for DS.

I bought the pushalong walker with building blocks. It looks fab.

Mouseinahole · 20/11/2016 15:24

I bought a pull along turtle with shape blocks and a set of wooden emergency vehicles 🙂

We bought a load of Lidl wooden toys last year - they have all lasted really well (better than similar from ELC). Have bought more this year!

Mol1628 · 20/11/2016 16:09

They are brilliant. Last year I got my son the motorway set and the magnetic crane. They're all still in great condition and are played with every day.

This year I've got the airport set and the little wooden tortoise balance game.

Upsetmummy27 · 20/11/2016 16:16

Oh I loved that airport set but mines too little for it.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 20/11/2016 16:19

I got DD the bathroom doll's house furniture set. Gave it to her already, and it's lovely quality. Really sweet detail, like bathroom scales & a towel rack!

Abrahamkin · 20/11/2016 19:05

Ah! Good to hear. We got the magnetic crane for our DS this year. And some friends gave us some of the wooden building blocks.

Mol1628 · 20/11/2016 19:08

Yes the crane has been brilliant. Really sturdy and gets regular play here.

Lalunya85 · 20/11/2016 19:10

I bought about 6 of the sets and the kids are opening one every three days or do. So far the wooden birthday cake has been the biggest hit!
Lovely stuff.

They are brilliant I got the train set and a bonus that it is compatible with the brio we have. Have got the food as well, superb value for money.

Dozyoldtwonk · 20/11/2016 20:17

I've also bought DD lots of these sets for Christmas, but couldn't resist giving her one straight away - the little fruit & veg set with knife & chopping board. Goes with all of her much more expensive Le Toy Van kitchen bits a treat, & look just as lovely for a fraction of the price! Really well made, very pleased.

I also picked up some fab winter jumper dresses and a fleecy jumper for her in the same trip, £3.99 each! Things were flying off the shelves though…is it a case of it's gone when it's gone or do Lidl tend to get further stock in?

Mol1628 · 20/11/2016 20:21

They only tend to get one shipment of the specials. That's the case with my local store.

LittleCandle · 20/11/2016 20:21

When you see something in Lidl, then buy it, because they don't re-stock. We got the Noah's Ark this time round and next year I'll be buying quite a few of the others.

SilverLinings2014 · 20/11/2016 20:31

So glad to read this. DD will be 2 in a few weeks and we got the train set and the tool bench/ desk thingy. Already got her the ALDI wooden food/chopping board a few weeks ago which she loves. Lidl set looked just as good and much cheaper too!
