I'm looking for present ideas for ds who will be 7 a few months after Christmas.

He already has a bike and scooter and we're overflowing with Lego and playmobil.

Please share what you're getting your 7 year old sons! Thank you

Oh and I normally get him a beanie boo or similar although we are overflowing with cuddlies so may not! He and DD are also getting a microscope

BreadAndChipsPlease · 20/11/2016 07:34

Thanks that's really helpful.

Considering robo space lab and stickbots- had never heard of either of those.

He already has lots of football stuff as he's obsessed and not into computer games.

Any other ideas?

Ds (6) is getting a nerf gun ammo jacket (only useful if your ds has a nerf gun I guess). He's also getting much of the above. A nice adidas or Nike hoodie would probably go down well if he's a football fan.

BreadAndChipsPlease · 20/11/2016 07:43

And already has a marble run.

The space duvet cover sounds nice. Where was that from?

This is great - I need to get a "really cool toy" for similar age nephew and mine are younger so had no ideas.

We got a lovely quality space duvet cover, it's the Catherine lansfield one www.amazon.co.uk/Catherine-Lansfield-Kids-Outer-Single/dp/B007V2UZ96 and highly recommend it.

Misty9 · 21/11/2016 08:40

I've found a pocket microscope and insect slides. Owners of 7 year old boys - good present?

CozumelFox · 21/11/2016 16:35

Horrible Histories DVDs
Hexbug VEX Robotics kit.
Cluedo
A recorder and learning/songbook... I might regret this!
Possibly some Pokemon stuff, Minecraft stuff or Star Wars stuff.

Also really likes Hexbugs and KNEX, which we let the relatives buy

CoffeeChocolateWine · 21/11/2016 17:50

My DS (just turned 8) is getting a skateboard, remote control car, CD player for his room, audio books, basketball net and ball, magnetic dartboard, the Dangerous book for boys, football trainer, football boot bag, a set of books, Rubik's cube, Gryffindor beanie hat and gloves. He got a very cool archery set for his birthday which was a massive hit. This stuff is not all from us...from extended family too!

CoffeeChocolateWine · 21/11/2016 17:52

Last Christmas, Hot Wires was a big hit. My DS doesn't really play with toys (he's more of a active sporty boy...hence the list above!) but this electronics set he does still play with again and again.
