DD is 6, DS 8 and I'm on the lookout for some Christmas stories to read in the coming weeks. The ones we have are a bit babyish now, plus having heard them the last few years I think they'd like something new. I had a look online but there's thousands! So would prefer some recommendations please. Thankyou wise mumsnetters Smile

The Story of the Snow Children by Sibylle von Olfers
Brambly Hedge Winter Story
Little Grey Rabbit's Christmas

Also seen one I have not read that looks quite nice, Christmas in Exeter Street by Dianne Hendry

My 9 year old is reading A boy named Christmas by Matt Haig and really likes it (she keeps reading bits aloud to me- it is good, and quite funny too). You could read a chapter a night maybe.

My 7 year old DD has just got into the Daisy books by Kes Gray. She absolutely loves them! There's on called Daisy & the trouble with Christmas that I'm going to get her.
I'm also going to give The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe & The Children of Green Knowe a go this year!
