What's the best gift card to go for if I'm spending £10 as a token gift?

I'm buying for two women in their early twenties. I don't know a huge amount about their likes and dislikes and I need to buy them each a £10 gift card. They are both on fairly low wages so I don't want to choose a voucher that they'd have to add lots of their own money to in order to use it, so spa and restaurant vouchers are out.

My first thought was Amazon as they would have a good selection of things to choose from and could easily buy a book, music or DVD for that amount but is that a bit unimaginative?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Boots, M&S or Superdrug. It can be spent on a treat, or on essentials if genuinely skint.

I'd defo prefer the cash
I'd hate any kind of coffee voucher - if I was skint I'd find that such a waste!
Boots or m&s for me

Tesco, if they are really struggling they can buy groceries, if they want to buy something for themselves, they can use it for clothes, books, cds, toiletries, put it towards a bottle of something alcoholic.

I'd get one for the local shopping centre that way it can be used in whatever shop they want.

Not John Lewis, it's expensive and a bit grown up. What on earth would they be able to find for a tenner, that isn't sold everywhere else. You could probably say the same for M&S to be honest.

Boots/Superdurg is a much better bet, especially if they like make up etc. If the local shopping centre does them, that would be a good idea too.

Definitely one of the sort that can be used in lots of places. Lovetoshop seems to cover a lot of the ones mentioned here like Boots, M&S andSuperdrug amongst others.

Cinema, always a winner in my experience! Or boots, everyone shops in boots surely!
