I an travelling to the U.K from Gibraltar between Christmas & new year. We hoped to stay with family in a hotel for new years eve & enjoy a dinner, entertainment & maybe fireworks on new years eve.....yet every hotel I have contacted will not admit children to their new years eve events. We have a 3 children in our family ages 2, 4, & 6. Celebrating late at night with children by attending restaurants, parties, concerts etc in Gibraltar & Spain is common place. I am so cross that we are excluded from celebrating as a family. Any suggestions, we were hoping to stay in the leeds / Huddersfield area

Any sports/social clubs nearby to where you are staying if you are vising family? When dc were small I used to go to our rugby club some years. Might be worth asking around Smile

I would definitely say look at more local level stuff, more corporate event type things (like hotels) will be more likely to restrict

Is Ilkley too far away? Craiglands Hotel are advertising a family New Years Eve event which looks pretty good.

Bizarrely I'm also overseas, & will be visiting UK & looking to go somewhere with my kids for NYE - in Leeds or Huddersfield! Grin

Cedar Court in Huddersfield also have a family NYE party.

We don't have plans ourselves - quite fancy something like this now!!

Or maybe an Italian restaurant might be more family friendly? (I seem to be logged on under an old name on this IPad!)

Thank you for your help, the craiglands hotel family new years eve party isn't going ahead this year. I just contacted them x
