...what are yours?

Mine with DD so far involve little things like new pyjamas and hot chocolate on Xmas Eve.. she's only 3 and there are only the two of us.

Might introduce her to Carol singing this year if I can find a nice event.

Interested to know what others do, what little things do your family 'know' will happen on and around Christmas each year?

We go to pick our tree on the Sunday nearest to December 1st. We go round some garden centres, have a coffee/hot chocolate in a cafe before lugging a tree to the car. (DHs close friend has a birthday on this week and is usually celebrated on the Saturday before treeday. Each year dh is severely hungover)

The tree stays in the garden until the 1st, when we decorate the house. We start advent calendars and I put on the Christmas duvet covers.

23rd is a baking day for DC, and I deep clean the house.

24th is an arts and crafts morning. We decorate gingerbread men, paint pillowcases to hang up for Santa and other craft bits. (The Works have nice craft kits at the mo)

Then we have lunch at a pub and see the panto with my sister afterward. Takeaway for dinner then monopoly.

Boxing Day we go for a long dog walk in the woods.
