I'm looking to add a couple more dvds to our family christmas collection and I'm wondering what you lovely people like to watch?
Our particular faves are Elf, the Grinch and Home Alone 1&2

I LOVE Scrooged with Bill Murray!

Summerisdone · 12/11/2016 12:39

Miracle on 34th Street is one of my all time favourites, alongside Home Alone 1&2 of course.
Oh and I do love me a bit of Die Hard over Christmas, but I suppose not one many would consider family viewing... though it always was in my family when I was young Grin

BeaLola · 12/11/2016 14:57

My faves would be ....
Miracle on 34th Street - The Original
Its A Wonderful Life
Muppets Christmas Carol
Arthur Christmas
Home Alone

mumonashoestring · 12/11/2016 15:17

Die Hard Grin Watch it every year while putting up the tree.

Disney's Sword in the Stone
Muppet Christmas Carol
Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone

Trudee · 12/11/2016 16:54

Great suggestions. Think muppets christmas carol will deff be an addition to our collection. I popped to tesco earlier and found Nativity 1,2+3 so I picked that up. We've only seen the first one and we enjoyed it so hopefully the other 2 are ok.
I didn't think about die hard but dh will love that so I'll go on the hunt for that too Smile

Nativity is much loved by dd , but nativity 2 is not so good.

InNeedOfABrew · 12/11/2016 17:48

Muppets Christmas Carol, A Christmas Story, Snowman and Snowdog and Love Actually. Might watch love actually this week whilst doing the wrapping!

PippilottaViktualia · 12/11/2016 18:19

The Night They Saved Christmas. Hands down the best Christmas film ever. Just the start of it and I'm in tears, I adore it! It's just so magical, I've watched it every Christmas for nearly 30 years.

shakemysilliesout · 12/11/2016 18:23

Christmas shoes obvs

Trudee · 12/11/2016 18:31

Always forget about Love Actually being a Christmas film because it's our wedding anniversary on Dec 23rd and we always watch it on that day with a takeaway. So I always consider it to be our anniversary film rather than xmas lmao

Pippi we watched The Night They Saved Christmas all the time as kids. Then last year I found it showing on one of those True Movie channels and was so excited to watch it again. Best xmas film ever!

PippilottaViktualia · 12/11/2016 18:37

Stitch I've never known anyone else who's seen this film! The DVD is on Amazon, you must get it!

stitchglitched · 12/11/2016 19:14

Me neither, I probably know it word for word I've seen it so many times, we recorded it off the TV about 30 years ago and it is probably somewhere in my parents loft. Will def get in on DVD, I always bawl at the end song. 'If you believe enough in someoneeeee' Sob!

Starlight2345 · 12/11/2016 19:49
