insan1ty the good food magazine had a recipe for hot chocolate spoons this month. Want me to take a pic for you?

LBOCS2 · 11/11/2016 21:41

Oh, and rogl - keep an eye on BrandAlley, Achica and Secretsales, they often have relatively high end faux trees at bargain prices plus you can often get new member sign up bargains?

Personwithnoname · 11/11/2016 21:46

Amazon have up to 35% off Melissa and Doug atm here

SomethingOfTheNight · 11/11/2016 21:47

Sylvanian Families Christmas Set down to £15.84, lowest ever according to CCC.

Lapinlapin · 11/11/2016 21:47

Sweetpea does it absolutely have to be the coin maker? The reviews are pretty bad so I went for a chocolate bar maker instead here which seems to get quite good reviews.

I've never tried either, so can't vouch for it though. Plus, you may have no choice if your dc have fixed ideas on things like mine do!

SweetPeaPods · 11/11/2016 21:52

Lapin it's been requested by SiL for my niece.

ecofreckle · 11/11/2016 21:54

Thanks Reastie for all your efforts. And everyone else.

This is my 4th year and I'm usually finishing by now but this year I haven't even started. I had a rough feeling pregnancy in the summer then during October a miscarriage and the sudden death of my Father so I've not been on top of anything. I am swinging by here for Christmas cheer and inspiration. I don't think I can find head space to do the previous 15 threads though. Good work everyone!

My first job is to find a nice baby doll pram. I shall have a poke around now.

insan1tyscartching · 11/11/2016 21:57

LBOCS2 ooh yes please Flowers

todayisabeautifulday · 11/11/2016 22:00

insan1ty these lidl chocolate spoons are gorgeous and just £1.29 for two

Pigleychez · 11/11/2016 22:02

Any ideas for a main present for an 8 year old girl? Quite a young 8. Shes only asked for small bits this year. Her sis is getting a furby.

Bargains are even more needed after DH's employer announced yesterday they had gone into administration leaving them with no job and no wages! Angry My xmas spirit is now somewhat reduced.

cookiefiend · 11/11/2016 22:02

I am almost half way through (probably less). I just updated my spreadsheet and have spent about £218 so far, but have an RRP of £613. I love this thread!

Ali express today have some offers for singles day. I love ribbon from there as it is the same stuff you find here. Worth a look.

RedOrangeGoldLeaf · 11/11/2016 22:03

Vistaprint's sale is still on, till the 16th I think. Desk calendars are down to £4something - I make one with photos of the DC every year for DH, he asks for it specially to go on his desk at work. I do recall getting stung with some sort of extra charges though last year, a printing charge or something (silly me, I thought printing it was what the £4odd was for, being as it's my photos!). Together with postage it makes it less bargainous, but it was still the cheapest I found last year.

cookiefiend · 11/11/2016 22:05

Sorry pigley cross post- I am sorry. Also for PP with the break in.

Jeez, anti dandruff set?! That's on border to being insulting! Oh dear... please, Red don't do this! That will definitely turn me off completely even to consider to carry on with the subscription. That's just wrong.

LBOCS2 · 11/11/2016 22:15

Eco my mum died unexpectedly on halloween a few years ago, it completely knocked me for six - we hosted the in laws that year and I genuinely remember very little of it. It sounds like it has been a real shitstorm of a year for you, make sure you're looking after you this Christmas too Flowers

So much bad news this year - I hope your DH finds something new and the administrators sort out his wages quickly pigly.

ecofreckle · 11/11/2016 22:21

LBOCS2 we should chat! My dear Mum died suddenly 31/10/11 so yes, a shit storm of a month what with triple grief. I shall not use this jolly thread to doom too much but did just want to say I feel a bit of your pain and send you some light after your own recent anniversary.

Todayisabeautifulday your username is lovely. Quite right. However shitty life is it's a relative privilege to have a day to play with. I'm hoping for more of that positive thinking for Christmas.

rogl · 11/11/2016 22:22

Thank you LBOC will have a look now

WhirlwindHugs · 11/11/2016 22:22

Theonlyoneiknow · 11/11/2016 22:35

strawberryfield12 yes, I wouldn't consider what was received hair product wise a 'goody' bag and it's really put me off the magazine. I've actually half a mind to tweet/email them about it

Haudyerwheesht · 11/11/2016 22:40
