I'm sorry about the pup. I don't know about setting fur in acrylic but I think you can get beautiful personalised dog frames. If you have a nice photo, you could frame it and place the fur behind the picture. They won't see it but they'll know it's there behind the photo?
You'd have to forget the fur in this case but this is nice if you want to set a photo in acrylic:

Someone was asking about Tsum Tsums. IME the small furry ones are cheapest from Disney Store at £3 each. I've also seen them in places like Asda, Sainsbury's, Debenhams and Clintons Cards but they can be priced c£3.50-£4 each. The best bargains I've had though have been from Clinton's when I picked up some half-price ones including the larger ones, we got a fab Mickey one reduced from £20 to £10. If you're after other bits, Wilkinsons have some lovely Tsum Tsum stationery and toiletry items at the moment, great for stocking fillers. Home Bargains and B&M stores tend to get sets of the smaller plastic versions if your DD likes those too.
