Do your DC give a present to classmates?

DC is in reception in a class of over 30, will parents give presents? Should DC give presents to friends?, the class? Its all new thing to me and have no idea what to do. Any experience please?

Dds give cards to everyone in the class, and a present to only the teacher, we couldn't afford gifts for everyone and no one would be expecting anything.

DD1 is in year 6 and will buy a small gift for her two closest friends. Dd2 puts a chocolate coin in the card for her favourite people.

Kids give cards. Do not start the gifts for classmates thing. I know this is a page for people who love Christmas but cone on there is a limit

I've not seen this at our school. Some schools encourage card giving (writing practice!) but that's it generally.

We put a chocolate snowman in each card (under £1 for a bag of 10 in home bargains or wilkos)

I remember when my eldest was in reception and one of the mums asked if we were all doing presents and I told her no way! I think everyone has enough to do without adding to it unnecessarily, plus a lot of the parents will be financially stretched enough.

And if my children want to send Christmas cards to their classmates, then they can write and send them. I have enough to do.

No presnet escpet for teacher/Ta. cards to whole class.
