What have your DC asked for, so far?

I asked DD (3, nearly 4) the other day what she might like for Christmas. The answer:

• an eraser
• some more pieces for her wooden train set
• a soft toy duck
• some "different pens and crayons"
• a bike

I can definitely get with the eraser and the train set pieces; but I've already bought a toy duck and some pens and crayons for her birthday....and MIL is getting her a bike for that! She claims she can't think of anything else. Any ideas for a main present that a nearly 4 y o would like? I already have some bits and pieces, but not one main present from Santa. She has an Ikea kitchen, playhouse, doll's house and a wooden train set already, and loads of Duplo.

Playmags? Would that be impressive enough as a main present? Anything else?

Just stick with lots of little stuff that she will lovopening & put your money away for the future. Ds1 wants a car! 😂

My DH is in for a shock when he finds that on his watch list! It's silly money for what it is but will be so worth it to get my DS the one thing he really really wants.

Someone higher up mentioned a megazord. I thought ds(4)had made that one up! Just had his birthday. I've got hungry hippos hiding in the loft from Santa. Might investigate that megazord! Failing that, more playmobil pirates or some ( more!) Lego!!

OP I always find torches are very well received: you could even get her an oodlebright toy thing? Also Dd at that age got a doctor set I made up with a real stethoscope and bandages and a fob watch and stuff. She loved it and in fact was playing with it today and she's just turned 6.

Dd wants a hatchimal. No way as I refuse to shell out for something that will be thrown in the corner and forgotten about after an hour. Dollhouse, camera, various shopkins, monster high doll, baby annabelle wardrobe and a little live pet dog amongst other things

She is getting the dollhouse as it fits all the barbies she has and I used my Tesco vouchers against it. Probably the toy dog as she has been rhyming about getting a new dog since ours passed away but I don't have the time for one right now.

Fortunately my mum has found a jar of jewels in a charity shop. I'm assuming they're made of plastic or glass and not actual jewels. So that's his xmas sorted!

TheHighPriestessOfTinsel, in B and M they sell soft toy animals (one of which is a monkey), they come with a little bottle, and do make drinking / animal noises. They aren't brilliant quality but they are only about £3.99.

Just realised that was a request from a previous Christmas.

DS1 who is 3 nearly 4 would like a train for his brio set and some playmobil. We've got him the water park set as there's nothing too tiny in it that his younger brother could eat.

DS2 who is 2 wants a biscuit

My just turned 4 year old doesn't know what she would like for Christmas. She just says can it be a surprise present to open .

I am thinking of getting her a camera, a vets dress up set, a DVD, some new books, bath bubbles, hair clips and maybe some craft stuff. Our relatives always ask for ideas so I might suggest another dressing up outfit (little mermaid), an illuminated globe, a kids gardening set, a make your own jewellery set, some cd audio books and a Disney Belle shimmer doll.

She got loads of toys including Lego and playmobil for her birthday recently so trying to go for things other than toys.

Thanks, Left! I had seen that one before but nothing I'd read said it had poseable tentacles so I'd dismissed it. Another one for the list! I'll have a whole squid army at this rate.
