QOD, I got our hatchimal by being awake at 5.30 feeding the baby when they came into stock on toysrus' website. Apparently they sometimes come back in on Argos at around 7pm when ones that were reserved for click and collect aren't collected. There's another thread with details of a website which tells you when stock levels are updated.

I've just splashed out on 3 candles from the white company and a cashmere hat from Pure Collection. I'm not sure how many of them will make them as gifts, but they were extremely bargainous!

If anyone's looking for MORE unicorn bits, Matalan have a large and beautiful ceramic unicorn money box on sale for about £6, which I picked up for DD1.

Shopkins gift - I was in the entertainer recently and they had Shopkins Beados (the ones where you make pictures of things with beads and spray them with water?) for about a tenner. As they're two of DD1's favourite thing I picked them up.

And finally, my bargain offering - a tree skirtt* for the princely sum of £3.11!

LBOCS2 · 09/11/2016 23:20

Oh and if any of you are anything like me and enjoy embarrassing your children for maximum entertainment, Matalan do matching pyjamas for all ages (including adults). I have a babygro of 6mo DD2 and pjs for DD1 and DSS. I'm extremely excited, they weren't that expensive and a proportion of the cost goes to (I think) supporting Alder Hey hospital.

Catanddogmake6 · 09/11/2016 23:43

A few of Julia Donaldson's books have dropped to £2.10 on Amazon including the Princess and the Wizard, and one about a mermaid and another about a unicorn.

IHeartKingThistle · 09/11/2016 23:50

I have those PJs too though it was a bugger finding them all in stock - I'm super excited about them! I think it might be 100% goes to Alder Hey.

confuugled1 · 10/11/2016 00:26

They had a load of reduced Star Wars biscuit/chocolate moulds/cup cake things/etc reduced to half price in Lakeland yesterday. As well as several nifty bits that would be good stocking fillers and bits for difficult people.

Costco has the tassimo costa coffee things reduced so they work out at £2.80 a pack - on offer in Sainsburys atm for £3.50 a pack, usually £4.50 a pack. They also now have a 5 ft tall monkey for £30 which is very sweet and I suspect dh would love it but there isn't room on the sofa for it and the big bear that he and the DC brought home from Costco last year Xmas Hmm
The also had a good variety of tins of biscuits in from £3 to £12, lots at about £6 - also had the massive panettone in a tin for that price (usually about £20 in John Lewis).

Their gorgeous £12 throws were also back in. I might now have three of them. They look like they would be st least £70 somewhere like John Lewis.

POKEMON CARDS

It was me that recommended Chaos Cards a few threads ago. They're the cheapest online shop I've found and a very reputable company.

If you can afford to go big, then an Elite trainer box is the way forward. This box was released for the 20th anniversary this year
www.chaoscards.co.uk/pokemon-c11/elite-trainer-boxes-pokemon-c1021/pokemon-elite-trainer-box-generations-p136279

It contains everything you need to play a full game and you get a ton of cards in there, plus some nice plastic sleeves to protect your special cards.

If you want something impressive for half the amount OR if your recipient had a fave Pokémon, you can't go wrong with an EX box. This is a huge box (about 14210 inches) and has a huge (about A5) card in. Here's the ever popular Charizard one:
www.chaoscards.co.uk/pokemon-c11/other-sealed-products-pokemon-c15/pokemon-pokemon-charizard-ex-box-p104426

Failing that, there's also tins. Theyre excellent for storage and are nice little things to display or carry to games. Heres a lovely Pikachu one:
www.chaoscards.co.uk/pokemon-c11/gift-tins-pokemon-c16/pokemon-battle-heart-tin-pikachu-ex-p137592

Delivery is free over £20. Hope this helps 😄

M and S calendar already out of stock Sad

luciole15 · 10/11/2016 04:05

You know what, I don't think it ever was available online. There is a link to check stock in store which they don't normally have. They'll be after footfall in store, bearing in mind their rapidly falling profits! There are a few thou in stock near me, so will be disappointed if I can't get one!

Howaboutthisone · 10/11/2016 04:32

It's just become available online again!

everylittlestep · 10/11/2016 04:45

De-lurking to say I've managed to order one online at 4.27 this morning - couldn't sleep so thought I'd try my luck. I had one last year & loved the anticipation of opening it every morning. Little boxes of loveliness!

LikeSilver · 10/11/2016 06:08

I got an M&S calendar at 5:30am. So excited!

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/11/2016 06:13

Thanks unlucky, will keep looking.
Must step away from m&s

RicStar · 10/11/2016 06:14

Yup M&S website is clear my already suffering but also just ordered calendar for collection tomorrow.

playmobilpeacock · 10/11/2016 06:15

I'm another one that decided to get up at ridiculous o' clock to get an advent calendar.

I had decided that I wasn't going to have one this year but thanks to this thread everyone else in the house has one and I was feeling left out Blush

Gooseysgirl · 10/11/2016 06:38

Am resisting the temptation of the advent calendar... twitch twitch twitch Wink

sherbertdibdab · 10/11/2016 06:50

I got one, it's a post baby treat to myself. Also any bits I'm not keen on can go into dsil Xmas hamper.

Remember back in July there was a bargain Barbie Glam Getaway House on Amazon, for £11.99 (usually about £40).
Did any of you actually get yours yet? Or have you cancelled the orders?

Pengweng · 10/11/2016 07:16

I just got an M&S calendar. I wasn't going to buy one but was getting christmas jumpers for the girls so thought fuck it and added one.

AlwaysNeverOnTime · 10/11/2016 07:19

Vintage, I got an email a few days ago saying they were still trying to get hold of stock. I dont think we will ever get them though. Does anyone remember the hello kitty castle from last year? If you click onto it, they've changed it to glam house table and chair! Are they even allowed to do that?

DillieDoily · 10/11/2016 07:19

Thanks Firefly - for some silly reason I never thought of Poundland. Also seen some cheap soft toys on the ikea website and may check out Card Factory.

Anyone ever managed to get hold of a Maxi Micro scooter any cheaper than full price?

Just ordered my M&S advent calendar- very excited!

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 10/11/2016 07:20

I've not got mine Vintage but I've left it to see if they'll honour it

MissRainbowBrite · 10/11/2016 07:24

Dillie there's a German site I've seen lots of people recommend for micro scooters, not quite as bargainous now with the pound against the euro but still a saving even with delivery from Germany.
It's der-rollenshop.sportkanzler.de/Kickboards-Scooter

Equimum · 10/11/2016 07:25

Dillie you might get lucky with a general stir discount. My friend got a bit off a Mini Micro when Smyths had £x of certain spends.

wyldstile · 10/11/2016 07:29

Couple of you after maxi micro scooters- google der-rollenshop (too tired for proper link). Great German site, quick delivery, although I'm not sure whether the exchange rate will make it worthwhile this year :-(
