I am childless, two DNs to buy for. When they were smaller I just used to buy whatever I thought they would like best, without giving too much thought as to whether I'd spent the same amount of money on both of them. However now they are a bit older, aware of what things cost, able to use the Internet etc, I'm a bit worried if I take that approach it will cause problems.
I've chosen something for DN1 which I know she will love, cost c £75. DN2 I find much harder to buy for, so asked for suggestions from DSis, and apparently the thing she would like the most costs about half that. But then if I get something else she will have 2 presents and DN1 only 1. But at the same time I'd like to try and spend equal ish amounts on both. They get a bit competitive about things at the best of times! They are 6 and 8 btw. Are they very aware of monetary value at that age?
