Ive also posted this in children's books, but thought I might get a reply here, especially as Im thinking about this for a Christmas preaent.
I was hoping that someone may be able to give me some advice on the World of Reading books. I was looking to buy some similar to this

For my year 1, 5 year old son who is enjoying reading at school- he has just started on the yellow band.
My question is about which level, on the World of Reading books, I should start him on? I was hoping to buy them for him for Christmas.
I should also add, any other suggestions of books that would encourage him to read to himself would be greatly appreciated.
