Any recommendations? She like crafts/sewing/patchwork and probably isn't ready for the grown up crafting mags but too old for the make stuff mags aimed at little ones. Alternatively anyone tried National Geographic kids? Or anything else?

I subscribe to Aquila for my DD and she loves it. It has a lot of information, quizzes and some craft ideas.

NG kids is fairly young, my 10 year old thinks it is for babies!

She has Aquilia too, devours it in fact and has done for a couple of years, no signs of it losing its appeal.

We also get The Week Junior which she loves. Tried Whizz Pop Bang but that was young, used to have Stew but it stopped being produced.

I have no idea about good crafty mags. Would it be easier to find a couple of age appropriate books? No idea.
